You might as well get the exhaust first. Doesn't make sense to get the J Pipe and HFC because you still have a resonator and mid muffler on your stock exhaust that will restrict the air flow.

I did the J-Pipe and left the stock exhaust on for a day just because i didnt have time to do the whole thing right away and you will notice a throttle difference. I would do it then when you can afford the exhaust get it.

Some people have had good luck with the j-pipe and PCDs with stock exhaust. Most of the gains came from the j-pipe and PCDs more than getting rid of the stock exhaust and it sounds quiet but good.

Removing the cats is a federal violation. With that said, they will never know you removed it. Of course, I just gutted my stock one for free and it looks stock on the outside. There's very little to no gain in doing the 3rd cat. Not worth it unless it's free.

Not at all. I haven't had a 3rd cat for years and you can't tell the difference. It's honestly not worth the money, there are practically 0 gains. The 3rd cat flows a lot more than the primary cats. If you "gut" it like I did then it's free otherwise I wouldn't waste the money.

The "gut" is a good way to go, on my 240sx i did a gut and then welded a 2.5" pipe in the cat just so i get the straight through flow, didnt like the idea of exhaust swirling in the cat for some reason. Plus it was free since i have a welder.
