Custom Magnaflow Parts and SoundClips

This thread is for people who have a custom Magnaflow exhaust:

What are the requirements needed to build a full exhaust?
Did you keep your Original tips?
Any regrets?
Any problems youve encountered after installation?

Post your specs(part - part # - price)/install charge and if you have a sound clip!

The thread would be great research for future potential buyers
Especially since we have scattered information all over threads.

Magnaflow everything...from cat to Y 2.5 pipe...Y to mufflers 2.25 pipe...the third muffler was removed. 14' SS magnaflow resonator in right after the cat....I keep the stock tips...check out the pics
Part Numbers....by the way I am going to link you to the site I bought the stuff from
Magnaflow SS Resonator 14416
http://www.hottexhaust.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=14416
2 Magnaflow Mufflers 14362
http://www.hottexhaust.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=14362

Mufflers on ebay...
http://search.ebay.com/search/searc...4362&category0=

One thing I would do different would be to buy a Magnaflow Y part number 10758
you can buy it for $30.00 on ebay....Reason it makes the bends from the Y to the muffler a little easier and cleaner JMO....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magna...spagenameZWD1V

One thing...do your research on who you are going to have install it....I asked a lot of people who was the best and they all came up with one name...I had to drive an hour to have it installed, but it was well worth it. I love the exhaust and the best thing is my wife does too.

^ Do u have sound clips of the exhaust? I wanna hear it before I upgrade mine. Also do u know if there are any differences in sound btw the different magnaflow cans - I think Loki on here had the 14325 cans and he liked them. Didn't get to hear the sound on them so I just assumed they were universal. I've heard the CT exhaust but I don't think it sounds deep enough so if u could hook a bro up with some sound clips tht wud be pimp!

whats great about going the magnaflow route (or whatever mufflers you want to use) is that you can decide how loud or soft you want your car. there are a ton of different options you can pick from, and while there are not a lot of sound clips on the site, if you dont like how it sounds you can easily change it. its a lot better than buying the comptech and realizing you want a different tone.

First of all they aren't cans or cannons...they are regular mufflers...I like them a lot better than cans...give me a few days and I will try to have a sound clip up

OK, has anyone done the magnaflows without the resonator? Can you compare the sound to any stock cars out there like G35/350z, anything like that?

I love the fact that you were able to retain stock tips

I'm going to a custom shop around here that does work for race cars, muscle cars, street rods, etc and see what he says. I'll see if they want to design a system for us.

temporarily...its raspy as shit and doesnt sound great. i have smaller mufflers though, so maybe the bigger cases will smooth it out some...its a harsh tone though.

Does anybody have this Magnaflow system installed in their TL in the New York area?? I live in westchester. I could travel to Long Island, New Jersey, Conneticut, and all 5 buroughs of NYC. If possible I would like to stop by and see how it sounds. Thanks guys!!
