As far as noise those videos make the car sound loud from the outside. I guess it is. And it sounds good. If you're driving with your windows down then you hear it less vs. having the windows up. It's wild. You would think the opposite.

It's because the wind tends to be just as loud as the exhaust. You can still hear the exhaust, but slightly. With the windows up you can hear all the nuances. The exhaust wakes up around 2600 rpm. It sounds a like a louder G35. Then the vtec kicks in and the cat is out of the bag then. When cruising it is 100% quiet. Just give enough throttle to maintain speed. Completely let off the pedal and you'll get a little drone. But the only time you would let off the pedal would be to shift or brake. Then it doesn't matter. All in all I am pretty happy with it. It's not the loudest thing in the world, but I think it fits what the car is. Sporty/Luxury.

I took one of the bumper moldings off to see if the tip could go up more. It will but I didn't realize those molding also clip in. So once they are off the hole is big enough, but there is a little clippy lip edge (I don't know what to call it) showing. I'll have to fiddle around with the idea for awhile. I think the type s aspec lip would make the hole bigger than it needs to be. And I'm not looking to spend any more $ right now. I think it looks ok. If somebody has the time to look at my car from straight behind and scrutinize it then they have the right say it looks strange. But just driving down the road or someone walking around it in a parking lot wouldn't really notice the gap. So it's fine for now, but I'll try to get it right sometime.

sifuacura-Did you get the tips too? If you did, let me know if your exhaust shop gets them in the hole any better.

One Question!!
WHAT IF I weld just one magnaflow muffler instead of welding 2 of them.
cuz I dont want the drone and loud noise.

PS. I had greddy then comptech then got Stage1 setup because of drones
Im pretty happy with stage 1 but want little more. From wat i see stage 2 and stage 3 are.... ehhhhh...not so good.

NCTL05, props on the install..., now for some questions that would worry me, how close to the plastic bumper are the tips...I see the opening is just about the same width and can they start to melt the bumper as your car (and mine) do not have the wider opening as the Type S or A-Spec bumpers....second you said you didn't have a CAI, I do and from personal experience the decibel level goes up at least twice as what you have without the new exhaust and I was curious if you thought of that.
I've been toying with the idea of doing it as well, (my RSX-S had the AEM CAI and the Magnaflow catback...it was a bit too loud especially on long trips) so if you could answer those questions I may be doing the install ASAP...
Thanks ahead.....

Sounds good.

For anyone not on an ATLP budget, these Magnaflows are a great alternative. They really do sound hot!

I'm in the same boat! I do not need a loud car...I take to many trips.

now the looks...honestly, it looks like shit. you either need to get the type-s aspec, or switch to single tips. the gap is just

but none the less, sounds sick!
magnaflow actually works with ct. Found out from marcus at heeltoe

Not to hijack the thread but Trew...I wonder about how much pain is suffered by the woman falling on your avatar....it stopped being funny for me after I watched it a couple of times, her leg alone rubs against the wood and I can feel the pain ......
...now back with the thread....

Wow. I thought this thread went by the wayside, but it looks like there are some aziners with some questions.

I don't understand the question. I just took off the two stock mufflers and put back two aftermarket mufflers.

nhousepro-Your PM has been replied to.

The tips are close to the bumper, but they are double walled tips so even if they were touching there wouldn't be any melting issues. And I welcome the day when I get the intake. I think I will like extra noise of the intake. The car feels like it is flowing the exhaust pretty well. Now I just need to get more air into the engine to take advantage of the exhaust.

I just got the same set up today and the installer said the tips would not work due to the tight fit. As an alternative he just used the stock tips for now. How tight does your tips fit? I know you mentioned no melting on the bumper due to the double wall but this particular installer warranties his work and didn't not want to be the cause of any safety issues.

By the way if you are concerned about how loud the exhaust sounds, its not that noticeable at all except when you hit the gas. Around 2-3 grand you can hear the exhaust with the windows rolled down but even then it is low but aggressive. The vids seem to amplify the sound as compared to actually hearing it.

Yeah. It is louder outside the car than it is inside whether the windows are up or down.

I like it a little louder cause I no longer have to look at the tac to know when to shift as it was so quiet before. Now I just listen to the exhuast and it tells me when to shift.

And a money shot.

Thank you everyone for your help.

That is a great shot! They look good, really good if it were the Aspec/TLS spoiler

Thanks man!

As an update I got the AEM V2 intake. As a comparrison I think this intake is louder than this exhaust setup. Both the sound from the intake and my exhaust compliment each other and it's loud enough to make people say "WTF" when I drive past.

Thanks. I actually traded another member for their stock exhaust so I don't have it anymore.

It was so long ago when I got the parts. I can't remember who I got it from.
