Custom J-Pipe...

Ive been doing quite a bit of research on this topic. But have not found any concluding results or real world experience on the matter.

Seeing that the E-shift Pro Cats have been proven to show substantial across the board, but when added along with a custom J-pipe they will lose power because of the lack of back pressure. Wouldnt it make sense that adding a custom J-Pipe by itself will increase exhaust flow enough to show some power gains?

I went to visit a couple of exhaust shops in my area and got conflicting responses. At one of the places, the guy told me that he has made a custom J-Pipe for a few Accords and TLs and has had successful results when added along with an aftermarket exhaust. At the other place, the guy took a look at it and told me that I will barely notice any difference because he said that there is little restriction in that area.

So now I ask, for the people who have done this... what are your results? Is it worth it? How about the sound? Any info would be appreciated.. thanks!

The E-Shift J-pipe is coming soon, stay tuned and watch Excelerate (Josh) on here, he will announce it once the E-shift is ready for production. With the custom highflow j-pipe you will gain good power if you are supercharged, on the other hand if you are NA you will lose power because you wouldn't have enough exhaust flow!

^ - Are you going to dyno or just see if you can tell if there is a difference with regular driving?

Nothing yet. I have to install the j-pipe with the custom exhaust, so I won't be able to tell you guys if there are any gains by the j-pipe alone.
