Custom Exhaust Idea. Any Thoughts?

So on most of the cars my family and I have had that we upgrade at all, the first thing we do is a custom exhaust. I was looking under my TLS and thinking about getting a j-pipe. But I started thinking how the exhaust is just straight 2.5" tubing all the way back from a j-pipe which is dual 2.25" tubing. What about getting a j-pipe then cutting it and making a true dual 2" or 2.25" all the way back to the stock tips (only say stock tips because I love the looks). If you look at the basic math behind it, the stock 2.5" exhaust in a flat area gives you 4.9in^2 worth of room to move air. if you ran a true dual 2" it would give you 6.3in^2 and a true dual 2.25" would give you almost 8in^2 of air flowing through any given section of the pipe. Thats a huge area difference. It would give the car so much better breathing power. And I understand it can take some tq from the car at low ends up on the high end the car would hold power a lot better being able to push all that air out. What are your thoughts on this?
