CT Engineering Cat-back System - opinions

If any body is running this exhaust, can you please give me your opinions on it? Is it worth the money? Can you tell the performance difference? How bad is the drone?

Thanks,
John

i think comp tech and tanabe exhaust are some of the few exhaust systems that have very few to none drone systems we have here. i run a tanabe on my 05 and loved it. these systems are quiet at cruise but roars when you stomp on it.

What kind of exhaust note are you looking for? I'm assuming you have a base TL.

I've got the comptech, nice growl with initial start of the car, but remains civilized until you step on it!

So you can have a conversation while cruising without yelling?

I think that the CT cat-back is a little too quiet IMHO.

I got the CT exhaust installed a week ago and it definitely is way too quiet inside the car. However, all my friends that heard it from the outside said it sounded pretty sweet. You will barely be able to tell the difference while driving. Always puts a smile on my face in an underground lot though . Gains aren't much but I can feel it

I have had the COMPTECH exhaust for some time now. I am in love with it. It looks so great with the polished cans underneath and sounds awesome. It is very quiet until you get on it.

CT Engineering or Tanabe Medallion Touring will both get you a civil exhaust note that is somewhat throaty and has very little drone. The reason for this is both include a large mid muffler.

If you need a price on either let me know. We carry both.

Absolutely, it is pretty quiet inside. There is a slight drone at times, but it doesn't sound loud or obnoxious to me. I agree that the polished cans look awesome, as do the rolled tips.
Even when I "get on it" , the CAI is more noticeable than the exhaust as far as noise goes.

hey blue, was that you in another thread that said was going to add v3 j-pipe and I said let me know how it sounds?

I didn't realize you had altered your cat back. Hopefully a resonator will kill the rasp.
