3g tl awd... dude its already been done!!!

J/K the more I drive my tls the more I love it.. and I was actually not going to get the type s... glad i spent a few more g's for it then the base..

My only gripe from it being a perfect car is the front wheel drive torque steer.. However AWD would be sweet.

Relax... this project is being done only part-time by college students that probably are using the car as a DD, and they gotta find $25-$30k in extra cash. Not something that'll be done in a few months

^ yeah i hear where you are coming from but i just don't like guys that come making threads getting everyone's hopes up about this sort of thing and not going through with it(not saying u will leave us hanging but i've seen it before). i mean i think it would be a completely different story if he had the money saved up already, or knew the game plan from the beginning, just my .02 cents. plus im a part time college student as well so i know how hard it is and i tell u right now it probably will be a year to two years until this guy gets the funds necessary. PROVE ME WRONG DO THIS FOR THE BETTER OF OUR CAR!!!

UPDATE: Ok guys, sorry I left everyone hanging but unfortunately there wasn't much to tell. Our school reviewed the project and said they're not paying for it, which sucks cause we planned on them donating around 10k as they said in exchange for some rights to the project. But after the board review in Feb, they said no. We're kind of stumped at the moment...

We found the SH-AWD TL we needed too, it was a rollover accident, but most of the engine and drive train was fine. The yard wanted 12k for all the parts, and the plan was to have the school chip in 10k and we add 2 to get this project going, but school said f*ck you, so at the moment we're screwed. Everyone was so psyched after new years to get this going and now it's not going so great..

Not giving up yet, trying to find other options.. Maybe try to get some loans at the bank also trying to possibly find a sponsor at the moment.

So go ahead and hate if you want, we've already taken dozens of "I told you so's" over the past few weeks so I suppose I deserve to get flamed.

Man this sounds so sick. AWD or RWD. I'd love to see this in person even. Good luck on it!

Dude that's sick , but with a sedan where you gonna put the engine? in the back seat?? That's gonna be a helluva lot of engine noise in the cabin, I know our cars have noise cancellation and all but that shit will freak out with a supercharged engine in the back lol

search him on youtube and listen to it on the dyno.

well im pretty sure i would sacrifice my back seat for a mid engine , Rhys Millen built a soundproof wall between the seats and the engine bay for noise reasons. he used the genesis sedan engine hoping to hit 500hp.

OP if you do this youll be my hero.

is our trunk too small to fit our engine? or is it too far back and would throw off weight distribution.
