According to my slightly more scientific measurements 
The diameter is less closer to 7 1/16 inch.
However, there is a healthy lip that we are measuring from the outside.
So, probably better if we grab the circumference for an easier measurement.
Taking the 20 7/8 circumference, throwing some pie at it, and we get 6.645 inch diameter.
