Comptech Supercharger Kit Special!!!
Hello all. We just returned from SEMA and we're trying to catch up on all PM's and emails but we have a special on CT Supercharger kits for the 04-08 Acura TL Base.
Kit fits both Automatic and 6-Speed 04-08 Acura TL.
Uses an Eaton MP62 gen4 like older kit but has a shorter drive snout than earlier TL/CL/Accord kits.
Boost is 4-5 psi. Gains for Auto are approximately 60-65whp; 6-Speed is approximately 65-80 whp. More power can be obtained with exhaust mods.
Blower does have signature whine when in boost above 4,000RPM.
Kit includes everything to bolt on, except the new battery. Customer needs to buy Interstate MT 51R or equivalent battery. This battery is physically smaller but has better spec’s than the stock battery.
Kit will come with CT Engineering's new ACM (Advanced Control Module) to add fuel in boost, lower VTEC (RPM to 4000 from 4800), and clamp MAP sensor voltage (@3.0 volts). ACM will come with jumper harness for the majority of its connections, but you will have to cut and solder 4 wires.
CARB approved through 2007.
Belt follows stock belt path, and kit comes with a longer belt to reach the blower. It uses the stock automatic adjusting belt tensioner. To change the belt you will have disconnect the P/S feed hose.
Does not require a fuel pump change.
Customer will need to trim radiator fan shroud, as well as engine bay plastic. Instructions include trim templates to perform this operation. Does not require customer to send in fan shroud like earlier model kits.
Kit comes with longer battery cables for new battery location.
Kit comes with Intake Kit (tube, filter and heat shields). It does not have an Air-Box like the older Kits. It mounts the filter in the side of the engine bay and has heat shields that seal it to the inner fender. Filter location allows engine to breath colder air from outside the engine bay.
Kit may fit on 03-07 V6 Accords with modifications. No tech support or warranty is included when fitting to the Accord.
CT's List price is $4995. We usually offer this kit to AZ members for about $4500 shipped to the cont us but we can offer a Special Acurazine Sale Price of $4150 shipped to the cont US. The kits can ship next week and I have only three available at this price.

I have one more additional thing to offer AZ members. If you don't want the S/C kit with the Icebox b/c you prefer to do your own intake I will do the kit for $3999 shipped to the cont US (if you are a CA resident you will have CA sales tax unless we can ship it out of CA).

I've already spoken to CT about a TL-S blower kit. They have no plans for one so it would pretty much be on me to get it going. I'm fairly sure that most of the parts will bolt up, but basically it will require tuning. Send me an email at sales@excelerateperformance.com to discuss further.

I would be interested in this.

^ Nate sent me the install, it says 04-06 TL, but he said it was the same ECU wiring for 07-08 Base.
So if the type-s and base are the same, it might even be the same pinouts.....
ssmtl2nv.. we need to meet up one this week or next. so i can match up every single mounting point and see if this blower really will bolt up... might be an xmas gift for my TL

how many times have i told you guys that it will work
first off, dont even think about installing the acm, ITS NOT GOING TO WORK PERIOD!! what makes you guys think its going to run the car properly anyways?? that thing is tuned for the j32 only. when i was 3.0 and had my car dialed in with a nice tune, that same tune didnot work one bit after i swapped for the 3.2 and had to get retuned asap. so imagine what it will be like going from 3.2 to 3.5
im telling you, if your really serious about SCing your type s, call boomslang, have them make a custom harness for the aem FI/C and call it a day.
just remember that your flowing more CFM due to the larger displacement, so you might have to install a HBP to make up for the lost psi, which in turn will bring you to address the injectors, fuel system upgrade, aftercooler or meth injection, etc,.... cause lets face it, the m62 is just too small of a blower for a 3.5
i lost about an average of about 1 -1 1/2psi jumping up .2 in displacement. my average boost now is 3 psi across the board until 5k rpm, then it spikes to 4psi max at redline =/
if your going to go through with this project, kudo's to you BLACKURA. your going to enter uncharted territories (i know all about that lol), so do your homework and be sure you have a tall ceiling in your budget for the unexpected, cause sh!t will happen! been there, done that

Hey Sean:
Yea, i am pretty aware of all the unexpected. Using the HBP was a thought to make up for the loss in boost that i was expecting..... Do you honestly think the AEM F/IC will be able to handle everything that the comptech ACM provides the 3.2L blower?
I assumed the ACM wouldnt work, but it would be worth a try since it gets included with the blower.. If it doesnt, I was gonna go the route of a piggy-back management system. Still trying to figure out which one, but AEM F/IC seems to be the best bet for this car, eh?
Sorry to clog up your thread Josh, but if we can get closer to verifying this works on a type-s, You'll have a chance to sell quite a few of them!

I am looking to run a piggback, of course it has to be custom. I am also working on a custom bypass valve, which would release the extra air that causes a surge between 2-3k rpm. its not that serious but i gotta try it.

I'm workin on the same thing on my '07. You will have to make a bracket for the transmission mount. I know I have to have one made for my 6 speed type s. Not sure about the auto though. are the pinouts the same on 04-06 base as the 07 type s. That's the only question we have puttin this thing in. According to CT, the blower will mount right up.
