I would highly recommend the Comptech SS. It was the first mod I ever did and when you combine it with the GM syncromesh trany fluid it's like a totally different car.

As trance mentioned; JMBnovas' DIY is the ONLY resource you'll need for installation. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ch+short+shift

Go for it- you won't be disappointed.

It is a rather long install, but fairly easy to do. Just remember the shorter the throw, the more difficult the throw, simple physics i.e. leverage.

It is not too hard.... If you can take trim off and remember what screw went where, then it's no sweat...

Yeah man... I live in Fairfax City but I roll down to Q every now and then.. I used to work at MCCDC so I know the area. If you want to meet up sometime to check it out feel free but I am going to tellyou that no matter what, it will be the best bang you can put into the car for $40...

I am dropping my car off at the body shop today and should have it back sometime next week. Hit me up and maybe we can link up...

Hell, if you want, roll up to my house with some beer and I'll help you install the sucker...

Just add a heavier shift knob. This is what I did, makes a huge difference with the feel of the short shifter.
