CEL code after Cold-Air installed on my Type-S
I recently installed an AEM intake on my TL-S... well, I got a check engine light.
The code is 0443: Purge Valve C Fault
Anybody have ANY IDEA why that CEL is coming on? I know 100's of people have this intake, even on the new Type-S, without problems. I would love to fix this myself, since I'm sure the dealer won't be any help.
Thanks guys
Matt

I installed mine this weekend and didn't have a CEL until after I moved the sensor. I did the battery disconnect for 10 minutes and the CEL went away.
It's at the dealership right now getting the suspension TSB taken care of - we'll see how that goes...

The IAT sensor. Did you move the sensor from the upper manifold/throttle body area to the intake pipe?
I didn't move mine at first and had no check engine light. I decided to move it a couple of days later and that's when I got the CEL. The sensor is the one that was referred to as the "Optional Power Adder" in section 4 of the AEM Intake installation instructions.

Got it... didn't know if you pulled the code from the diag screen or with a diagnostic computer/chip. Sorry I can't be of more help. One a side note - when we installed my UR pulley I threw five or six diagnostic messages; that was back in May and my car is still running fine. I have no idea how to clear those navi based messages. I've tried but no success. Maybe someone else can throw us a bone?????
Good luck.
Good luck.

P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Malfunction
u have a leak in your evap system. ie...one of the hoses has a leakage that expels burnt gas and other waste fumes which are spit out of the exhaust. the evap system can detect a pin needle size hole in the hoses.
