I have an 04 TL I am interested in a comptech exhaust. How much louder is this from factory?

Does it drown on the highway?
Is it loud at all when cruising?
Can you only hear it when your getting on it?

Reason is because I don't want it much louder than stock, Nor do I want the drowning noise while cruising.

 

From what I know, the comptech is pretty much the same sound as the stock but a little bit louder and the tone is a little deeper.

 

I am also interested in this also! Im sure "Blackura" will know since he had comptech exhaust on his NBP. Also "Desper" just purchased comptech from a member so im sure when he gets it he will share his experience with us.

 

If you mean does the noise drown out everything else while on the highway, then no.
You can definately hear it it. It is a little louder than stock.
If you are giving it gas, you will hear it. Doesn't matter if its a little or a lot.
When I "get on it", my CAI is louder than my exhaust.
When I am on the highway and I have my windows up it isn't bad. I can hold a conversation in the car just fine.
