I'm a new DIY'er. I'm looking to put a CAI on my 04 TL 6MT. I was wondering if anyone ever bought one of those $60 CAI's off of ebay. Please advise. Here's the link:

Everyone on here most likely have Fujita, AEM or Injen. There are several threads you can search regarding this.

I probably would never buy one of those, but then again, I have a problem trusting Ebay in general. My theory is, if I have such a nice car, I would like to take care of it and spend the extra dollar to reassure myself that what I am buying is worth the money. Cheaping out on car parts, especially for a car like ours, is not the best route to take, IMO.

I say, do some research on AEM, Fujita, and Injen. You will like what you read and enjoy the mod once it is complete.

I agree with ^ aspec, I would not put such a part on a 20K+ car.. There is just no R&D or credibility behind the parts on ebay..

I do have experience with the parts though and they can be hit and miss.. I bought a CAI for a prelude I had a few years ago, and it fit pretty damn well.. I had no complaints.. But then I also bought a CAI for a 240sx I had as well.. This part did not fit well, and was just a pain to modify the part to "rig" it in..

I definetely think there are good deals on ebay, and would go with that option again if it were maybe like a project car..

But after spending 22K on my car, I will not use anything but the best..
