no one ever searches....there's about 5 CAI threads "Which one is better"....and CAI discussions on every other thread.

you go to electronics forum, you will probably find smth like " yeah, with which CAI will my navigation work faster, i notice a lag on navy response when i downshift and full throttle 2nd...and sometimes i hear smth like a helicopter inside the car (UMMM THAT WOULD BE A FLAT TIRE, EINSTEIN)"

anyway.... OP, on the search box, type "clutch", and you should get a load of info. Take some time and read through it, this way you kinda gather all the info.

their disc are fine...the problem with spec is, they modify our stock pressure plate to a supposedly higher clamping force...our PP is self adjust...what i think they do is, they bend the goddamn PP fingers backwards, to create an initial heavier clamping force....and sell the fucking things to us along with a disc for 600-800 bucks...but after a while PP will wear out, and lose its clamping force...and you get back to a below stock clamp before you know it...with a ceramic or carbon disc...it only takes a few slips to glaze and heat spot the PP and FW, and there goes ur fucking clutch setup... so as of right now..FUCK SPEC...untill they make a brand new PP, or use one from CM or something...they suck for us, Period!

put one in a TL, drive around for a few months and then leave a comment. otherwise, comparing your m3 stage 3 to a TL stage 3 is apples and oranges.

actually, what i think they do is add more material to the contact surface, so when you tighten down the PP to the FW, it gets more crunch on the disc which is good and will give more clamping force, BUT the stock fingers are just not thick and strong enough to withstand it over a long period of time. its a quick fix, but will fail on you sooner or later. ive seen a SPEC PP blow up in my friends transmission O_o it wasnt pretty

so ya, im with you opel FUCK SPEC!!
