Well with only 64,000 miles on my '04 manual, my TL is hardly even a bit close to a clutch replacement. I'm perhaps 1/4 of the way there and maybe less. Hard to imagine a manual that has been driven normally in non-extraordinary situations and has a good clutch system to begin with having to replace the clutch in such a short time.

I had SPEC clutches before both in my blown and stroked Camaro and in my Turbo Escort. Never had any problems with them...

If you get a big enough demand for TL clutches you can get SPEC to develop a system for it. There customer service is pretty good too.

yes they do and every one of them is garbage

they simply paint an oem PP, coupled with your choice of disc material and try to pass it off as a performance clutch kit

trust me, i bought one and sent it back. they gave me a hard time, but i received a full refund in the end. STAY AWAY FROM SPEC!!!

i have the type s clutch in my 05 6mt.... theres no diff in clutch and pressure plate...from what ive noticed when it came out and the swap was done. The flywheel may be different because i know the bell housing on the Type S was changed....the throw out bearing blew my replacement clutch and im waiting on seeing whats good with a great oem replacement from another company or just dealing with the same old junk shit from honda.

im still wondering if the comptech unit from the cl-s would fit in this car? I dont know if im going to keep my car but if do i want that unit in there. i drove an s/c cl-s with the comptech clutch and i loved it. very smooth and solid engagment with only a little more pedal force required.

yes it will. other than the crank sensors, the flywheels are the EXACT same. you can either remove the crank sensors or leave them on, it wont make a difference.

my clutchmasters flywheel is from a cls and has the slots where the crank sensors go.

If you're looking for a clutch kit with flywheel Clutchmasters is pretty much your only option right now. SPEC does make clutches for the TL but no flywheel. We're in discussions with a company who will be making a setup and it should be priced below $1,000. They've been dragging their behinds for a number of years on this kit but I have gotten word recently that they have actually started test fitting it on the Accord V6. So hopefully we'll have another option soon. I will post more details when I have them and that is all the info I have now.

Josh, couldn't doing a clutch upgrade without major performance mods be harmful? Because it is gripping to much?

It can wear out your tranny/mounts.
