Cleaning AEM cold air intake filter?

I have had my cold air intake on my car since march and was wondering if I should clean it or if I need to clean it at all.

march sheesh dude take a chill pill you should take a look at it, if there is visible dirt then clean it, but damn march like just the other month (6 months is definitely to soon)
