search v-tech controller on this forum and you will find tons of stuff. but from what i've read it's not a good idea unless your heavily moddified. i don't think it would make a difference if v-tech engages any earlier

The Apexi VAFC can do this, however I'm not sure if it would work on the 3G TL, as our cars are a bit more complex than previous gen TL/CL/Accords.

They're kinda pointless IMO.

I don't think it would be worth the hassle, time to tune, and money, unless you have other mods like the CT supercharger. Someone else has the 3G TL base CT SC kit on a TL-S.

You wouldn't come up with much. It's spelled V-TEC.

Any reason to adjust the vtec to a lower RPM? Personally I think it is useless unless you are getting it tuned. I have one for my h22a powered accord. Its only moved 4700 RPM to smooth engagement so it doesnt do the jolt.

I wouldn't mind getting VTEC to engage ~700 - 900 RPM earlier. Somwhere around 4000 or 4200 instead of 4900.

what about installing a UR underdrive crank pulley?
That gets you up to engagement rpm much faster, and for a reasonable price, no horrible side effects...
