CF A-Spec Front Lip

Wondering if anyone would be interested.
I have a friend does custom body works and was thinking of doing a carbon fiber A-Spec front lip. I wonder if anyone here would be interested. Just a thought......

Will keep you all posted...

Depends on price and quality. I wouldn't mind a replica, and it wouldn't have to be in CF.

I will ask him on Saturday on that and have him give me the spec. As for the quality of work, he does excellent jobs. He mostly do cars that you see at those typical Import shows in So cali. His company is call Backyard Creation. I will ask him tomorrow.

I'm interested

I'm very interested in the front lip idea.... The only thing is, do you need to have the A-Spec Kit first or not and secondly does it require any drilling and last the cost/shipping? Let me know.

Thanks

I'm down if the carbon fiber is this part:

The gray/black part of the A-Spec kit. It would look awesome.

Now that you have gotten this far and it looks like something is going to happen, I will post these rules about getting a Group Buy approved. It looks like you have enough interest, so at this time you need to try to get the vendor on board here.

Here are the rules for initiating a Group Buy.

It is all right for you to find out how many people will be interested in this.

You should contact the vendor and find out how many people he would need in order to establish prices and specifications.

When you reach that minimum, you can let him know and he would have to contact soopa by email at adam(at)acurazine(dot)com to make arrangements to become a vendor and post in the Sponsored Sales & Group Buys forum.

That would start the ball rolling, and each interested member could visit the Sponsored Sales & Group Buys forum to arrange for purchase and delivery.

OK..I've spoke to the guy who is going to make the CF lip. What he need is the actual front lip so he can see how it look and then he would give me a price. Here is the what holding me: I have to wait for my insurance to give me a check because I had an accident on my TSX. Once I get that check, I will order the front lip for the TL. Reason why is that I am getting my parts via directly to Honda Headquarter in Torrance. Instead of me making 2 trips to get my parts for the TSX and the TL, I'll do it all at once. Once I got the front lip, I will give it to my friend and see how much it would cost. I also consider of making the unpainted piece CF, but I'm not too sure if that piece are removable. If that is then it would be a lot cheaper. If it is not removable, then the whole front lip will be CF and then I guess you just need to paint it the color of the vehicle. If anyone knows that the unpainted are removable let me know so I can tell that guy to do it.
I know one person wanted to do something else in CF. If you can get like 10 or more people who are interested in doing that particular item it would be cheaper. If you are the only one want to do that then the price will be more expensive because of making the mold. OR another way you can do it is to do a overlay of the CF. If you want to do an overlay then it would be cheaper.
I also consider of getting the rear A spec bumper and consider CF that unpainted piece in the rear. But like I said, if you know that piece are removable then let me know I will see what my friend can do to lower the price.
I will keep you all updated.

I vote for the engine cover in CF. There's nothing sweeter than opening a hood and seeing CF!
