CEL after RV6 front cat deletes

I bought the RV6 front cat deletes on my 05 TL with what I thought was O2 sensor spacers, but I now have a CEL for both post O2 sensors, has anybody had this problem??

did you do both front and rear precat delete ? or was it just 1 ?

also did u put the O2 defoulers on the top or the bottom ?

so if you do the precat delete on both front and rear and you install the defoulers in the bottom and reset your ECU (remember your radio codes?) I think your problem will be solved

You shouldnt get a code if there were done correctly like Swoosh stated. Make sure the defoulers are on the second sensors!

I think he means front as in the pre cats and not the second post cat (or third cat)

o2 sensors are very temperamental. if you were not careful removing the oem cat, removing the o2 sensors, installing o2 sensor to PCD, and installing PCD into vehicle, you could have easily damaged it.

on the other hand, every few months i get a CEL for a(sometimes both) o2 sensor. i just clear it, cycle the car and its usually gone

Yes it was both front cat deletes bank one and two. The spacers or defoulers are defintely on the secondary or post O2 sensors. Its funny cause the TL I got them from supposedly never had a CEL problem. Also I have cleared it with my OBD scanner and it comes back after a couple of drive cycles.
I found these spacers for secondary O2 sensors that have a mini 3 way cat con inside of them pretty cool here is the link

Frome what I have read I shouldnt have a CEL at all or every once and a while but this seems like this is a real fix for my problem, so what do yall think??

Back when i had one of my Civics what i did was bought two spark plug defoulers and drilled one out then put them together and put it on the end of the sensor, screwed it into the pipe and never had a CEL. You would be paying 100.00 for two of those that you linked to... maybe do it and let us know how it goes.

Just a update on my CEL problem. I have been noticing a rattling pinging type noise coming from the engine at idle. It sounded like an exhaust leak. So i finally got some time to investigate and I found a leak were the cat delete pipe meets the lower J pipe. Applied some exhaust assembly paste and Im gonna order the gasket kit from RV6. That was Saturday and so far no CEL. I should of realized that sooner but O well hopefully it is fixed.

Thats what I have on there now is exhaust sealant but should you use the sealant when you have a gasket, cause like I said I got these second hand and I noticed no gasket and I checked RV6 website and you can buy the gasket set for $30. I still have a pinging type noise only on cold start for a couple of minutes then quiet. But still no CEL!!! The noise is annoying but only on cold start, have you heard of this problem?? I appreciate the help

i had the same...i had the gasket only on one side (thats how i got it from the another member here). I went ahead and bought a generic honda gasket from Autozone for like 3 bucks...went ahead with the install...put some sealant (i used very little as I still have to get the full exhaust)....

no leaks....no sounds....no CEL

a lot of members dont use sealant but still dont get a CEL coz of the gasket...
