Since all the TLs in the third generation are "Type-S" engines, and have more power than the 2G Type-S, I don't think you would gain anything. They are probably the same part- just guessing.

It would be nice to be able to have head/CAM package like the corvettes.

As this would be a great idea, the interest in a product of this nature is going to be high enough for a company to take it on. As the 3rd gen TL gets older and the buyers get younger, then there may be more parts. But the cost of developing a part like this would cost a lot of money and the ROI (Return On Investment) wouldn't be good to start off with. Unlike a Corvette, or any major muscle car, most people aren't going to race or even mod there TL.

What we all need to pray for is that this car really catches on in Japan, and some companies like Mugen and Skunk2 work to make some parts for it. This is where the good parts will come from as American companies don't want to invest the time to make parts for a car most people see as a Luxury Sedan. Most of your parts for BMW's come from Germany where the car is not as expensive and there is a lot of interest in modding the cars. So when they get a major change to a car, the companies are right there prototyping parts. I would love to see a DOHC head with some aggressive cams developed for the TL. If not a DOHC, a SOHC with a more aggressive VTEC and larger intake and exhaust valves.

These are all things we need to add to our wish list and hope that they happen. Before this car I was modding a 5th gen Prelude. When I started on the car, there where very few "good" parts available. I stress good, because there where a lot of crap parts out there. As the interest in the H22 grew, more and more great companies started making parts. There where all kinds of parts for B16's, B18's, B20, and K series motors. But the H22 got left out. A prime example was the Skunk2 intake manifold. They talked about this part for 2 years before it ever got released, and BTW, the released it right after I got rid of the car. They had a intake for the K series before the car was released.

So lets all keep our and keep on modding the TL. As interest grows so will the parts.

the 04+ TL cams are more aggressive than the typeS cams. dont bother going backwards.

btw, 04+ TL cams are direct fit w/ the newest gen accord.

they wouldnt bolt up to the J series block at all. intake runners on the head are about twice the length of CL-S runners.
