CAI preference question.

Hey guys so I've been looking around at CAI's and I'm stuck between the AEM v2 and the injen CAI and I can't decide which one will give me better gains, so I am coming to you guys for help haha.

And also what CAI's are you guys reliant on and why?

There are tons of threads on CAI but I would go with AEM V2.
Either way, they all are just a filter and a tube. One brand isn't going to gain too much more than another.

I don't think anyone has ever done a back to back dyno of the two intakes. I can tell you the V2 is much more popular though.

I personally have the AEM V1 and it has not failed me in 2 years, because I mounted it properly. For what you are going to spend on an intake, you could save another $100 and buy a j-pipe and get better gains. If you must have an intake on your car, I'd get the one that's less expensive, or make one. You will see minimal gains with an intake. The stock intake is actually a cold air intake, and actually flows quite well. It just has that resonator on it that to make it quiet. Some people on here have deleted the resonator from the stock intake and got that sound you hear everyone talking about. And it didn't cost them a cent.

KN, welcome to the site. Souljah is right-there are a lot of threads about CAI's. Please use the Search Engine here on the site and you'll find tons of input about the 2 CAI's.

I'm going to have to close your thread because the topic has been well documented.

Cheers!
