Brake rotors and pads

Hi guys, new to this forum. I have an 07 Base TL CBP with 75k miles. I have also owned an 05 and 08 Type S (really miss that car).
Looking for some good rotors at least. Possibly drilled/slotted. Came across these on fleabay...any good? They make them sound good.

If you want good rotors then you want STOPTECH. We've put together a great brake package with STOPTECH rotors for the base TL AT. See below.

The ones you linked from eBay are from the seller "brake motive" who is also a vendor here on acurazine. If you decide to buy that brake package he recommends you to buy through him on the forums because he offers a longer warranty if purchased through acurazine vs eBay. His price is $165 shipped thru the forums I think. A little more expensive but better warranty.

Drilled holes really are more for looks.

I'd get the stop tech kit looks higher quality

Here's how I went about it a few years back: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/performance-brake-upgrade-cheap-sorta-807814/

Well I ended up just doing the Napa Premium rotors and they suck. They must have warped again. I'm not looking to spend a lot on brakes so I may try the brake Motive this time. My biggest complaint with these TL's has always been the brakes and calipers.

I'd pay for rotors once and get a premium set from Stoptech.

Stay away from Brake Motive - They are complete junk. I put them on my 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan (we don't driver that thing hard at all) and the rotors barely lasted 4-5 months and i had to throw them away because they were completely warped. They were shaking so bad during braking i thought my wheels were coming off.

Well it's good to get some real world feedback. I guess it looks like I'm spending more.

I can't help but wonder if you have been doing proper bed-in procedures when you install new pads/rotors? If you haven't been doing this, you will just have to keep replacing rotors no matter what their quality level is.

I like the stoptech brake package I have on my TL, but there are many people who are using less expensive options with no issues.

I got brakemotive brakes all around for 3 years now (on my TL and my mom Accord) and yet still no rotor warp. OP bedding process is very important, you can have a best in business rotor and pads but with improper bedding any rotor can be warp. If I gone buy another set of rotor I would go with Centric blank, $200 for four high quality rotors. I currently has centric on my Lexus.
