-Front knuckle assemblies (probably want new wheels bearings, lower balljoints, and speed sensors)
-4 bolts for caliper to knuckle, as well as the shins between the caliper and the knuckle
-steel brake line section between caliper and flex line (bolts to knuckle bracket)
-front flex lines (or you can opt to purchase a set of front and rear stainless stee flex lines
-front rotors and hold down screws
-front pads
-pair of brembo Calipers with pins/hardware
-new axle nuts
You can find remanufacured coated or non coated Brembos on rock auto, and get them coated your own colour if you want. You can actually find most of those parts on rock auto except for the knuckles, bolts, shims, and steel lines
you can use the RL's BBK with brackets to fit onto TL knuckles with less modification/parts swapping.
I'm ready to do the RL BBK on my TL and have bought everything. Except the steel lines, are they really necessary and will my stock rubber lines bolt/screw right up to the RL calipers?
If you use the fast brakes brackets to mount the calipers make sure you get the 2006-2012 maxima rotors. If you get the 350z brembo rotors the caliper will rub the rotor.

Shoot, I did buy the 350z Brembo rotors along with the fast breaks brackets but I suppose that if were to mill the brackets at the point where they bolt up to the spindle that I should be fine. Right? IF so how much should I mill off for a perfect fit?

Not sure, you might be able to but on some of the threads I was reading they were saying not to do so. Luckily the place I ordered my rotors from is swapping them out I just had to pay a shipping charge.
oh wow. I too have the RL BBK in the works and was under the impression the 350z brembo rotors are the way to go. u got a part number for the 06-12 maxima rotors you used?

I don't have a part number for the 06-12 maxima rotors but when I have looked they are all the same size no matter the trim level. I read about having to use the maxima rotors after I already received the 350z rotors so decided to try them and they would not clear the caliper. I put the wheel on and it was making a scraping sound when turning it by hand. I couldn't imagine how bad it would be when actually driving.

damn dude thats crazy. Glad I came across this lol. Be sure to update us on the fitment of the maxima rotors. The 350z's are 12.6'' if I'm not mistaken, what are the maxima?
I wonder if it depends on the bracket used? You were using fast breaks? The fat four customs page states they used the 350z brembo rotors on the 03-07 accord platform with no problems

It is the fast brakes brackets. I saw that bracket but they didn't have one listed for my cl

I thought 350z rotors were 12.8"? and does anyone know which steel brake lines we need to be using with these RL calipers on our 3rd gen TL.

Reason: added second question
i have a email from xlr8 saying the 350z are 12.6''
i dont get how 12.8 would not fit but 12.6 does?
the guy who I got my calipers from was running 12.6 with no issues
Depending on the year of the 350z they had 12.6 rotors if it didn't have brembos. The height isn't the problem it's the width of the rotors. The 12." Rotors are 30mm thick and the 12.6" rotors are 28mm thick. The rotors for the rl are 28mm thick. On my instructions that came with the brackets it says to use 2006-2012 Nissan Maxima rotors that are 320mm X 28mm.

right on, thanks for the clarification on the numbers.. did you just get OEM maxima rotors or is there a stop tech version too?
I just want a good set of blank rotors, I'm not into all that slotted and drilled stuff

I got the brakemotive ones from eBay, I have run 4 sets of there rotors and never had a problem. Plus it list the dimensionsof the rotors on there listing. I beleive it was ~ 85shipped to my house for the rotors
Okay I am reviving this old thread. I am in the middle of building my acura RL BBK on my 2013 accord coupe v6.
I mistakenly purchased the Fat Four Customs brackets and the MDX rotors. I now know that I should have bought the 350z rotors. Do you think this will still work? Any negative side effects? It seems like there will just be an extra 2mm of clearance.
If anyone is running this set up please chime in! Neither company is willing to take a return at this point so I'm kind of stuck if this doesn't work.
Couldn't figure out how to edit my post. I meant maxima rotors, not mdx rotors. Sorry for the confusion. I'm getting my front brake upgrade mixed up with my rear. Haha.
OK. Here is the correct image of the maxima rotor:
I know this is an old thread but I havent been able to find much information on this, so on an 04-06 TL they have 10MM holes for the sway bar links. When converting to brembos on an 04-06 do you also need to swap the sway bars out? Every post i've seen doesnt mention the sway bars but would like to know before buying all parts needed and doing the work.
And on 07-08 they are 12MM. dont wanna go through the work then have to stop and change sway bars as well.

The #5 & 6 stabilizer end links connect to the #2 front stabilizer spring, at the top, and #7 & 8 front arm at the bottom (red arrows).
The #19 10x34 flange bolt fastens to the front subframe, via the #4 stabilizer bracket, as shown above (purple) & below.
How would all of that interfere with the brake calipers / rotors?
Ah got it just needed to be reminded where the sway bar connected too. Havent worked on the car in a bit just recently did the brakes but didnt pay attention to much else (car sat 2-3 years because of the transmission) but got a buddy that found type s knuckles and was able to get them cheap so gonna do that conversion now
