Brace Yourself: HT-Spec Brace Packages Add Road Feel And Driver Confidence!

I am so pleased that chassis bracing is finally becoming an item that people are buying more for the positive effects on the driving experience rather than visual appeal. And with new, exciting suppliers coming in to the mix, namely Ultra Racing and Alutec Performance, we are finding some really innovative additions to chassis bracing “catalog.” Enough such that we are finding it entirely appropriate to package some brace options that “make sense” for our customers.

Our project TSX was the guinea pig for the test fitting of the ultra-new braces from Ultra Racing. We have a direct relationship with Ultra Racing and Alutec Performance and have access to their entire catalogs. I am extremely pleased make their items a part of the HT-Spec Bracing packages.

The first two cars on our radar are the 04-08 1g TSX and 04-08 3g TL. For each car we offer a basic bracing package as well as an option to add more braces into the mix.

For full details on the HT-Spec Brace Packages including installation tips and pics, please click the image below!

I was able to win a world championship and FWD shootout with all these braces installed. The performance gain put my car on par with a Dodge Viper ACR. If you don't get bracing for your Acura, you are really missing out.

Lol

The personal experience that I had with these bars is that they help you dial in the car better. Everything the car does good gets better with bracing, and everything that is off/not dialed will be much more pronounced. I installed most of my bars while tuning the HT-Spec damper kit, and when the dampers were early in development the car felt REALLY bad. Once I got things valved and sprung a little better, the car is very confident now. It is easier to place wheels in the turns and the road tells me everything that is going on!

The TSX rear and side braces DO NOT fit on the TLs, and therefore will not fit the 7G accord.

But, the TL kit will fit the Accord! So order that one.

Can't wait till I get a few extra bucks. In my experience with other cars, besides the performance advantages, these will make it easier to tune the suspension. What sometimes feels like an incorrect suspension adjustment can actually be the chassis flexing. Making it more rigid lets the suspension do all of the work like it's supposed to. You can't tune the chassis but you can tune the suspension. I've been broke for way too long now.
