Get the hfpc and get them coated in white lighting.

As for the methanol. Doesn’t add hp itself. What it allows you to do it add more timing safely. Inject it right as it exit the s.c so that it has more time to atomize and cool down the air before it is ingested

Thats where I was thinking too. Are there firewall inlets on the passenger and driver sides?

Could I just drill a hole in the silicone coupling just before the 90* elbow going to the intake manifold?

You could use a throttle body spacer which already has a NPT port. But like Azn was saying, you need a little space for the methanol to atomize & cool the air before it hits the intake manifold. The firewall inlet is right behind the center console but lower. But good like running that power cable through there, thats a 1 gauge cable, its gonna be difficult to fit through & fish out. I just drilled another hole through the firewall right above the accelerator.

Just finished catching up.. I'm glad to see someone else is also taking the supercharger approach. You seem to have a lot of enthusiasm for this build. I'm excited to see the outcome of adding the Comptech but I do have some concerns. To put it frankly, knowledge is power. Take it slow, no need to rush this build; do lots of research. Don't go cheap; if this is your daily driver reliability should be of the utmost concern. Ebay and reliable don't go in the same sentence.

As for the trans? It'll hold fine (yes '07-'08 autos) up to 450whp. You may want to do some research on Redline fluids. I won't say more here, only that you can find the information I am referring to here: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...ng-atf-834299/

As someone who is also supercharging their car, I look forward to your progress.

Andy is a true enthusiast and a very good person.
I would get with him and find out what's what...he has a serious 3G, 4G and now he's slumming around in a CTR.
Cool motherfucker...very intelligent too.

Yes I am. TL isn't my daily so I've gone a much less conservative route, ditching the A/C and replacing fuel system for E. It was not cheap, but the reliability and performance are worth it imo. As soon as the snow and salt is gone I'll be heading back to Gerzand's place for install. Kit took about two months of fabrication and since I couldn't make it out before winter hit (when I put my car away) it's been sitting in a box at his house.

I should probably just start a thread dedicated to the supercharging of my car.

Ive never been in a TL that was upgraded must be a warm feeling

So I'm planning to buy my entire exhaust today including PCDs. I'm trying to get the lowest sound without adding restrictions. Any suggestions as to what setup would have those specifications?

I would Very much like to keep my stock exhaust tips to keep it sleeper. I don't want ricecakes to see what I'm rolling with before they lose a race.

What'chall think?

Aznboi, if my goal is to eventually run 360WHP, is 2.5" exhaust going to be fine?

Thanks! Is there anyway I can replace my stock exhaust tips?

What brand/company has the best price PCD, J-pipe, high flow cat (200/300 cell) and cat back exhaust? I'm looking for a smooth sound like ltfa182 has on his. I don't want my exhaust sounding raspy, tingy, tinny, spitty. Just a smooth vroom!

I Love the sound/look of the ATLP exhaust and ATLP V2 J-pipe. What about the Cat and the PCD?

As it looks right now

My brother hit my car with his Acura TL 2008 Type-S
Old many backed into me at the my work 3 weeks ago. Now I'm getting all my bumps PDR'd and my entire car painted in the next 2 weeks! FREE!
My younger brother and I driving our TLs. Yes we love the Acura TL 3G that much...

OMG that sounds like heaven! That a proper sounding car!! The engine and boost should be making the noise, not the exhaust! If you hear abunch of exhaust it reminds me of a civic with a fart can.

Duroon, just move to Portland like so many Texans are and you can have it!

Duronn! The Battery replacement kit came in. Going to install it tomorrow.
I got new bumpers for my Free PDR n complete paintjob. The old ones were a little scuffed. I bought a lifetime warranty for them so they can each be replaced once at anytime, no questions asked.
Replacing my cabin filter tomorrow. (tranny filter for someday!)
Gates timing bent and pump kit in anticipation for the boost. Bought the crank pulley socket aswell.
Installing new hood hydraulics and wipers tomorrow. Perhaps the LED white fog lights aswell. Im going to tinker with the trunk opening springs this weekend too.

So
- VR6 HFPC x2 <----- will this ruin the "clean" sound I'm looking for?
- ATLP Cat-back exhaust
- ATLP J-pipe
- What Cat do you recommend? ATLP is good? or XLR8

thassa lotta car parts yo. Happy birthday! as for your exhaust, in terms of sound only, you may want to remove the mid muffler and have a pipe welded in. leave the resonator and mufflers. i've never done it, but heard its a common first place to start. should be able to find some info with a quick search. if you do go catless in the future for performance reasons, your exhaust will become raspier and more susceptible to drone. i suspect this is something you do not want. tr

I'm calling heeltoe tomorrow and ordering:
- VR6 HFPC
- ATLP Cat-Back
- ATLP Cat. Converter
- ATLP V2 J-pipe

I wont smell much of any exhaust and it will sound clean as hell

MDNBORG: I'm so envious of you Rotrex and clean TL w/ the "TL" car cover.

Because almost nobody makes a base opening tip...
RV6 originally had a batch of quads that worked...but I got ridiculed for my tiny tips...so much so that I bought an aftermarket one for a mercedes that fit the opening. then everyone wanted to be my friend.
I don't know what it was, where to source it and the exhaust shop that did it won't spill the beans.
I've been asked a billion times.
Fuck I miss my car

Working on it as we speak. I will have it all setup before Christmas. That service manual is just for decoration.

Thinking the most difficult part of this install batch will be the battery relocation.

Inquired to Heeltoe.com for a discount because the exhaust kit came to $2500. Still waiting for their response. I am trusting it will be a positive one! Cause I'm going broke boosting this here pretty TL! ..Darn Christmas time...

Lol at “Monica”. What did you run, 16 something? Regardless, it’s cool to see someone going all out like this. I came close to doing the CTSC on a couple occasions.
