Better Stopping Power

I have a 05 TL 5AT. I have started tracking my car and the stock pads and rotors are just not good enough. I would get a BBK but I just don't feel like spending the money right now. What is the best high performance rotors and pads that is available for an 05 5AT? Does anyone make stainless steel braided brake lines for the 5AT?

Consider an upgrade to the brembos?
I will say that a quality high temp brake fluid will make a huge difference in fading. Thats all that I can add...

RacingBrake 1 piece rotors with their ET500 pads for your use
and Motul fluid for track days,
any brand synthetic good for normal cars with good brakes.
Flush your brake fluid every year ziners! prevents big problem$$$$s later

I think-need confirmation-
the gen2 front calipers and rotors are the same as gen3- automatic trans in both cases.
If that is correct, as I have been told by 1 source- then go with Legend 2 piston brake calipers as well. 150 bucks for the pair will blow your mind compared to the stock single piston caliper

so there you have it: rotora and racingbrake are the 2 most used in performace discussion among ziners

What about two piece rotors? Arent they lighter which would result in less spinning weight? Do they not have the same stopping power as one piece?

2 piece are awesome if cost is no object- they are more than most want to spend for street car use, but if you trackday the car a lot, its worth it
They main benifits are slightly lighter, and replaceable disc ring- so when it does need new surface its half the cost- you rebuild them at home~
Better cooling - less heat transfer from the hub- because its aluminum, not cast steel
Tech info on www.racingbrake.com

Many winners of endurance races are on the 2 piece

pads and tires alone will greatly help braking ability. rotors dont do swat for brake distance, regardless if its bigger. Brake fluid, better resistance to fade, i recommend either ATE Super blue or Motul RBF600 Dot 4.

brake rotor material and design make a HUGE effect on braking!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How they bite, materials hardness, how they take heat and disperse heat are crucial factors and differances between brands.
The best pads are designed to work with their own brand of rotors- all designed to work together with the properties of the other.

Calipers make a HUGE differance- stock is 1 piston, upgrade 2 piston on 1 side, max upgrade 4,-2 pistons each side
How much braking force is applied from the calipers to the pad and then rotor will affect the downright stopping ability of a TL.
Then your shocks come into the equation- all that braking force will dive the nose, changing the weight transfer and handling as you increase pressure.

the 4 main brands used by ziners are: Rotora- from Excelerate, RacingBrake from MrHeelToe, EBC and Centric/Stoptech from wherever round out the list.

When it comes to good brakes- you get what you pay for.
Sure ebay cyromeizzsters for 120 a car may look great- but in a year when you replace them again, was it a bargain?

who- an expert parts person here- is going to check and confirm PLEASE:
DO the gen3 TL auto trans cars have- the same exact same front caliper-bracket-pads-rotors as the gen2 TL ? (i know they only came in auto)

If this is true- then you can bolt on a set of dual piston calipers originally used on the nsx and Legends of the 90s
75 bucks each- vastly superior pressure to the pads and rotors
Now she stops proper!~
