Best Resonator to Kill the Rasp!?

Some of you have saw my post about my recent exhaust mods. I can't stand the rasp I now have after the PCD install last night. Anything over 3k rpm's is solid rasp! I have an ATLP full catback, and I am looking for a resonator. From what I have read, I shouldn't lose power or tone, hopefully just the rasp... To install with ATLP I need 2.25" right, and is magnaflow the way to go?

Is this something that I will have to cut a section of pipe out, and have welded in?

Thank you!

Do you have a jpipe? If so which one? The Rv6 jpipe was being discussed that inside the flex pipe section it's made of thin walls and can seem like its rasp.

As for the resonator, everyone uses the magnaflow one and have in welded in

Yes, I have a RV6 J-Pipe, and that is exactly what my buddy thinks it is... I tried the Cardboard trick (recommendation in the long thread on this very subject) before bolting my J-pipe back up, and I know there is clearance between the two pipes by the flex pipe now... I heard this noise with J-pipe, prior to installing PCD's and thought is was the the Flex pipe rattling. After PCD's I assumed it was rasp all along, because it is now very pronounced!! Maybe I need to take a video and upload it.

Thanks for the input!

Nah my flex pipe section of my jpipe is all fugged up from being low. I either have to get a new one or have this one fixed.

I know it's been a few years but you ever get this figured out? I'm having the same problem just installed my rv6 j pipe with my xlr8 non resonated catback and not sure if it's rasp or that flex pipe noise
