^^ He is 100% correct, btw my first mod was the P2R spacer complimented by an injen intake. Other than addind a nice look to the engine bay they did nothing besides make some noise. You are btter off deleting your stock intake resonator and adding a KN drop in. It will be cheaper and it wil also be lounder, its wat I basically did to my 2g type s and its a lot louder than my 3g.

Happened to a friend of mine ..he was driving home and stopped at a light when it turned green he took off and the car was shit .. He didn't even have the underbody guard underneath so his engine is done .. Its been 2 months hes waiting to save enough to swap

Actually im curious .. That intake I postsed , are all the right holes there where other plugs need to go?

Always wondered that if cheap intakes have the proper cuts in them for plugs

Thanks Swoosh, as always.

So what is the clearance level on the CAI? I've heard it's around 2 feet, so how does that compare to the stock intake?

not a problem bro....

I live in KS and we get tornadoes and shit here....plus I have the bigger filter; 7" long as compared to a standard 5.25" long....and i have encountered 0 problems It fits just perfect and works wonders

I have this filter (21-2113DK):

as compared to (21-2110BF)

So I just bought a CAI and it can be used either as a short ram or "the long way" like the AEM V2 ... Which way is better?

These discussions never end.

Summing it up, don't worry about gains. 3whp at 6700k rpms. Woot so fastzor.

Free flowing air with less bends = plus.
Cone filter with less chance of obstruction = plus

Now aem v2, useless. Because its been PROVEN that the larger opening into a smaller inlet on the throttle body causes.. Yes. Loss in power.

Would I recommend an intake anyway? Yes. Definitely get one. Don't have enough to do all your mods? Worry about it later. But in the end, just get one. Forget what people say. Dont do it for the massive hp gains. Do it for the minor pluses of a free flowing air system. Cheers.

Can you provide more details on what is a K&N Drop in? I assume is the $60.00 air filter that's reusable?
