Battery Upgrade
Looking around I havent seen much on people using lawn mower batteries instead of the OEM ones. Has anyone every tried this? I've seen success in other cars but I was wondering how it works with the TL's. Any insight would be appreciated.

in one of the TL diet threads (one of the members that are doing the Innacurate 3G diet) it got mentioned that it worked fine...but can't remember who's...try Swoosh's thread.
There's two ways to "upgrade" your battery:
1. Buy a battery with more CCAs, which usually corresponds to a higher reserve capacity.
*You'll usually gain weight by doing this or spend more money.
2. Buy a lighter weight battery that removes weight off the front of the car.
*Some of the racing batteries (Braille, etc.) have OEM spec options that provide similar CCAs at low weight
Lawnmower batteries will provide you with no reserve capacity and will lack CCAs compared with the stock battery. They will probably work great if you want to run one at the track during the summer. I think of them as unsealed racing batteries.
