ATLP catback

Does anyone near the rockville/potomac/germantown/gaithersburg part of maryland have an ATLP quad exhaust installed. I really want to hear the exhaust in person. Let me know. Also lets say the transmission gets a problem wil they blame it on the ATLP, and if so what can i say?

Thanks

if you go to the dealer with a tranny problem its honda's fault not atlp

they can't say tranny failed because of an exhaust

They can't say your exhaust ruined your tranny but I understand your concern.

They could say your car has performance oriented modifications thus this could imply you drive your car in an improper abusive way which lead to a tranny failure.

It has happened at local dealers here.

You will have to learn to level with people on this matter by effectively explaining that your tranny failure is not directly related to an exhaust upgrade.

They have to prove that your performance mods directly caused the tranny issue. Its under the Magnuson-Moss Act

not without modification to your rear bumper, but ATLP is producing a base exhaust that will fit perfectly for an 05

To the OP - Where in MD are those places located? Two of them sound familiar to me. Point is, I'm in Southeast PA (10 miles from MD border), and will have my ATLP exhaust in about 2-3 weeks (ish). Full exhaust though (j pipe, 3rd cat delete, quad tip).

I'm in southern Lancaster county, (you can use ZIP 17584 as a reference on mapquest, etc if you want to). I'de probably be up for a drive once I get this, long as it isn't too far. Let me know if I can be of any help for you then.

Let me know if you want to hear the exhaust. There are several picture threads on the ATLP. It does not look like the stock exhaust as its not cross cut but a staggered tip. However the ATLP still looks classy and could be mistaken for stock to the undiscerning eye. My personal feedback is the TL-S was to quiet from the factory. The ALTP definetly gives it a distinctive and agressive sound, having the 6spd it will get loud if dont down shift to accelerate at highway speeds. Overall great quality and fitment, great sound at idle and going through the gears. As Far as the AEM intake I got the polished it definetly opened up the engine sound a bit, I cant stand the hissing/whistle you get with it at some speeds, so IM 50/50 on that mod.

To bad it doesn't look like the stock quad tip exhaust, i think the stock exhaust looks more fluent and elegant. I wonder why they wouldn't make it look like factor? It probably costs more to have it cross cut.? Oh well i have my down payment and will be getting it regardless.

True I'm about to get one too, but if they were cut at an angle like the original i would of had one already. I kind of like the factory look but with the aftermarket sound. If the new batches that are going to come out are going to be this way i will for sure.

Just ordered my a ATLP exhaust and J-Pipe for my 08 TL S WDP Auto. Any body know the WHP. Want to take car to do a Dyno run to see figures before and after. Should be getting the J-Pipe by the weekend and exhaust in about 2 weeks, i did not get the CAT or off road pipe yet. Goin to try before and after J-pipe and then after exhaust then with Hy flo CAT. Also what do you guys think of getting the exhaust polished out,There is some other member here jptl04's WDP that has done that to.
Just wondering on your opinions...

It wont stay looking newly polished, and who lays on the ground to check out the under side of a car? The tips is what they see.

Click on someone's name and a drop down menu should come up..
PM is second from the top saying "send a private message to [insert name here]"
I believe you need X amount of posts and perhaps 15 days of being a member.
I'm going to take a wild stab at it and say it's 50 posts... maybe it's less --- but those are the requirements for selling so it might be the same for PMs.
