Another dyno day

All tests were done between 2hours

-So for the first picture (2014 all dyno test 001.jpg) here's what is what:
run 581 = stock TB + aem V2
run 583 = stock TB + 4'' intake tube
run 585 = bored ZDX TB + 4'' intake tube
run 587 = MDX spacer + bored ZDX TB + aem V2
run 588 = MDX spacer + bored ZDX TB + 4'' intake tube
run 592 = MDX spacer + stock TB + 4'' intake tube

http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/...ynotest001.jpg

-second picture (stock vs hondata 001.jpg)

Oem map vs current hondata map

-third picture (bored ZDX TB vs stock TB 001.jpg)

Bored ZDX TB vs stock TB with 4'' intake tube

I'm very please with the mdx spacer gains and also my custom 4'' intake tube that is better than the AEM V2 even with the stock TB.

I believe he is 6mt type S. Not sure what other mods he has aside from what was dynoed. Thanks for the graphs!

Great test Dom! Car is making good power for your mods. I'm surprised the MDX spacer showed gained even up top....interesting results to say the least. You will probably gain 7-8whp with the 3.7 intake manifold

You don't have any pics of the intake around here, do you? Is it simply 4 inch piping run from the throttle body into the fender well?

Thanks for sharing your results, nice to see some actual numbers put up instead of just "it feels faster" or "the box says +7hp"

Type S for sure, but I can't remember if Dom is a 6MT or not....I

I know he has a custom dual exhaust with stock mufflers to go along with the mods listed above.

I think ILC tried a before and after dyno of the 3.7IM with 3.7TB and gain 7whp right? So what can I gain from the 3.7IM if I made the same gain from the 3.7TB alone?

there are several different options...

airraid custom intake kit

or build it your self from ebay

and yes, its 4 inches from throttle body all the way to fender

I use their ''long'' reducer version:

Burns Stainless LLC - Transitions ~ Aluminum Transitions

Then I got the smallest side enlarged to match the ZDX TB openning. The rest is normal 4'' alu piping that matches the aem v2 design and length.

I also made previous before and after dyno tests on another thread if you like...

So is 585 or 588 the highest pull? My eyes are playing tricks on me.

And even though peak gains aren't huge on the before/after FP dyno, there are 20+ ft lb tq gains at cruising speed, which is nice when you're cruising on the highway in 6th and need to toe into the gas to ascend a mild grade.

My flashpro result are very to those of ILC. Same vtec correction but my tune gave way more low end power. My car is 100% knock free, I don't think I could squeeze more power on normal gas pump.

I have never had someone go to such length to answer a question. Thanks for all the dynos, pics, etc. I'm impressed. I'm sure your TL has got to be fun to drive.

Once I get my TL a little more to my liking I will start posting up more, I do miss my TSX, though...
