i normally dont recommend cleaning air filters, but instead, get a new one altogether (every 3 oil changes). Cleaning weakens the fibers' ability to block small particles and dust b/c the pores open up. I've run into problems before with my other car from cleaning the filter. Dirt and excess filter oil went thru the intake and clogs up the idle air control valve (IACV) and you'll have idling issues from it getting stuck.

This was confirmed by acura techs and they recommended to change the filter altogether and replaced the IACV out of good will.

You refering to the AEM Dryflow or filters in general? And where did does the oil come in .. its a non-Oiled. We aren't talking K&N here ..

i was speaking in general. Yes, Dryflow was created to help reduce the problems associated with oiling. But the idea of cleaning +weakening of the filter still holds. Its like your a/c filter, which is made of similar material as dryflow. You'd rather replace it than clean and reuse.
