aftermarket motor mounts

im pretty sure my motor mounts 0n my 07 TLS are done, i feel like i have more then average wheel hop, and i hope that getting aftermarket ones will help solve this issue. My question/concern is whether there will be excessive vibration inside my car? At the same time i dont want to buy another set of OEM ones and have excessive wheel hop and have them fail again. So basically im asking if i get the softer of the three types my preference being the "street" ones will the car be annoying? Last thing i want is my "luxury mobile" to be vibrating.

I have the 75a engine mounts from XLR8 and cabin does rattle more than stock. I think with stiffer engine mounts you will always feel more vibrations. I have come to like the increased vibrations, makes me feel more connected to the car. I loved the super quiet nature of the TL but once I started to modify it, part of the power sensation is the sound and feel of the power.

Look and see it your mounts are broken, but a engine torque dampener might give you the wheel hop ressistance without introducing extra vibrations. They van be bought from Excelerate a parts vendor here.

We have developed mounts for the 3rd gen TL that are significantly better than the OE mounts. They come with a polyurethane bushing, which will transfer more vibration through the cabin but nothing excessive. If you have basic bolt-ons I'd recommend the 62A bushings since they transfer the least amount of vibration.

Your engine is designed to move back and forth, just replace with stock mounts, or if you want a harsher more direct feel "which is fine" its all personal preference then go for an after market mount like above....just gotta ask your self if you want your TL to feel and ride like a TL or a go cart.

The problem is the stock mounts fail quite often and people don't want to fork out the cash to keep replacing them. Aftermarket mounts do transfer more vibration but it does not make the TL feel like a go cart. The 62A bushings are fairly streetable.
