AEM V2 Install Question

I have a question regarding the V2 install, and I can't find it in any of the treads. Maybe it's because I'm multitasking here. I'm doing my defensive driving online. Thanks to my TL-S, I've received 3 speeding tickets in 2 months. I need to f%^&ing slow down. lol But anyways... I want to install a V2 on my TL-S, and I've been looking at different treads on how to install it and the option of moving the ____ sensor from the TB to the intake. But I have two things that I want to clear up. Will the intake, if installed properly, rub? And I mean like ANYWHERE. And will it directly mount to the car, or will have to drill, make brackets, shit like that? Thanks for the replies in advanced!

Any TL-S owners in Houston, TX btw?

Dont know what sensor your referring to. shouldnt rub, and no brakets or drilling, its a direct and tight fit but fits good.

From what I understand, it will rub even when properly installed. I've heard that you have to hammer the frame a bit to get the lower part of the tube to clear. I can't confirm this because I haven't gotten my CAI yet.

There's no need to hammer anything. Just remove the battery and send the pipe through from the bottom and you will be good.

Do you have to remove the bumper to install?

you can if you want to but i dont think it is necessary to rem. front bumper...some ziners when installing they will turn the wheel left until it locks and remove the black liner...then install the v2

I removed thh bumper, made it alot roomier to work, but not necessary.

I hammered the part where it passes from engine bay to behind bumper. Again, not necessary, but I was happier with the additional clearance.

Small ammount of rubbing against the corner of teh battery tray assembly, but that might be because of the TB spacer, it it doesn't make a difference anyways.

The only bracket fabbing was when I installed the TB spacer, and the bracket was just a flat, 2" pieces of metal with a hole on each end.

+1 You just need to take the tray out and push it up from the bottom.
