AEM V2 Install Question
AEM V2 Install Question
I have a question regarding the V2 install, and I can't find it in any of the treads. Maybe it's because I'm multitasking here. I'm doing my defensive driving online. Thanks to my TL-S, I've received 3 speeding tickets in 2 months. I need to f%^&ing slow down. lol But anyways... I want to install a V2 on my TL-S, and I've been looking at different treads on how to install it and the option of moving the ____ sensor from the TB to the intake. But I have two things that I want to clear up. Will the intake, if installed properly, rub? And I mean like ANYWHERE. And will it directly mount to the car, or will have to drill, make brackets, shit like that? Thanks for the replies in advanced!
Any TL-S owners in Houston, TX btw?

From what I understand, it will rub even when properly installed. I've heard that you have to hammer the frame a bit to get the lower part of the tube to clear. I can't confirm this because I haven't gotten my CAI yet.
i installed mine without any hammering anything... u just have to find the right angle to slip it in i scratched the sticker putting it in but me personally I dont care aboutt he sticker being scratched seeing that u dont even see the stick when its installed cause it will be on the side... and the sensor thing i have no clue whats up with that
yea...no hammering really needed although i did but its not necessary. it is a tight fit and will take a lil strategy to get it in their but it fits like a glove. follow the instructions with it and ur golden!

I removed thh bumper, made it alot roomier to work, but not necessary.
I hammered the part where it passes from engine bay to behind bumper. Again, not necessary, but I was happier with the additional clearance.
Small ammount of rubbing against the corner of teh battery tray assembly, but that might be because of the TB spacer, it it doesn't make a difference anyways.
The only bracket fabbing was when I installed the TB spacer, and the bracket was just a flat, 2" pieces of metal with a hole on each end.
