I've had my V2 on for a couple of months now and have not had any issues with the check engine light. I did remove the battery when installing though. From what i've read on here its seems that's the key as it somehow resets something in the cpu. Maybe someone else can chime in on this...

Good Morning,

So it came in yesterday at 4.30.
Went over to my friend @ 6 and made the switch.
Took a little longer, but not too bad.
So... went out for a drive....
Sweet Fancy Moses!!!!
The sound is amazing when I punch it, hope everyone else has the same result. Can definitely feel the difference from before.

Now I really want to get the j-pipe and exhaust.
I think I got the bug....

Thanks to Josh for putting this together and AEM for a great product!!!!

Got mine yesterday as well. I planned to do the install today, but severe thunderstorms are in the area much of the day.

How long was the install and did you take the bumper off? This seems to be a little more complicated then past CAI installs for me. Looks to be a 90 min job give or take.

We went through the wheel...but that took about 20 min just to take off since 1. just had my wheels rotated last monday and the stealership uses "powertools" to get it as tight as "unhumanly" possible to take off and 2. the guard has many many plastic screw things.
We also took our time and enjoy a few cold ones during, it was in the 80ºF here yesterday.

So a nice leisurely install took just under 3 hours.
But no issues with "warnings" or anything like that.

I will try to post a video asap of the noise I get when you can hear it. Sounds amazing, but want to be sure that is what it should be.
It's so sick!!!
Don't have the j-pipe yet, but definitely glad I did this first

Installed mine after getting it Monday. It took me about 4 hours working alone going through the wheel well.
Holy hell, getting at the last screw in front of the resonater took me forever. I should have taken the front bumper off.
The pipe would be better if it had a bend going back a bit as my install does have the filter touching the fog light bulb.
One tip: don't bother draining any coolant. Just put a rag under
the coolant tube to soak up the little bit that comes out of it.

I did remove the battery, and did NOT get a check engine light. Just make sure you have your radio/nav unlock codes.

You can't tell the difference in normal driving, but punch the pedal and wow, a nice throaty growl to piss off the retirement community.

Wow man, 4 hours? I'm gonna try the wheel well too. So how did you finally remove that last screw?

Do you also have a TB spacer installed?

The last screw took me about 5 min to take off...
I was actually able to reach for it under the bumper as I'm lucky to have gorilla length arms

And I also did not drain the coolant, had maybe an oz. come out while making the switch. Wasn't so bad as there were two of us switching the hose so the old switcharoo came in handy...

Love driving into/from work and hearing the noise!!!
Hopefully I'll come down and test to see if there is any addition in MPG

Put mine on this mornin!!!!!!!!!....went thru the wheel well....everythin went pretty smooth...couple issues...one was takin apart the tube from the stock air filter....its like held together with ribbits or somethin....after being nice to them for about 10 mins with no luck...i took a power drill and gave them hell....the other issue was the breather hose going from the CAI to the pvc valve(i think thats what its called), next to the throttle body....after connectin it i noticed the hose was kinda collapsin on the bottom where it connects to the CAI....that might b y some people get the check engine light....i took a piece of copper pipe tube that was small enough to go inside the hose....rounded it out to the shape and angle of the hose and stuck it inside....no matter how hot that hose gets i kno it wont collapse......Once i finished it and heard my baby growl i knew it was all worth it....The sound the intake makes is what dreams are made of!!!!!

I didnt do it exactly like this because its not even the same kinda of intake....but it did make me more comfortable seeing all the parts in this quick install....hope this helps anyone who havent done it yet

I tried the wheel well and I was unable to fit the tube thru. I ended up removing the bumper and battery before I was able to finally get the damn thing in there. Fitment is def very tight. By far the most difficult CAI install i've done.

Just have to re-attach the bumper and go for a quick spin. Rain last night prevented me from finishing the job!

LOL at some of you loving the sound.

I have a very annoying whine with the intake now. Not a whistle, more like a belt whine around 3000k rpms. Doubled checked all the hoses ect...the only problem I see is the O'ring that goes with the hex screw seems to be to large. When I tighten the hex screw the O'rings squeezes outward.

Any fix for this annoying sound?

What I did with the hex screw and o'ring is not tighten it all the way, but as much as I could while keeping the ring from coming out.

Hope to post some pics this weekend and perhaps some sounds...

Best of luck...

It's not a lug nut; it doesn't require much torque. You can use some teflon tape too if you want on the plug.

I did the same thing, squeezed the shit out of the bolt, and realized there's no reason to; it's just air. Back it out and lightly tighten it.

Hi,

Understand that the group buy was closed, but was wondering if you could confirm a few things for my 2008 TL Type S.

Is this intake system for the TL-S or the Accord 3.5?

Also - what would be the best price you could let a unit go for, plus shipping to Canada (zip L6P2T9)?

Thanks,

Trevor

I recently installed the Accord AEM V2 Intake on my 2007 TL-S. I don't believe there is one specifically designed/built/marketed for the TL.

I think it's like $306 shipped in the US. Canada might be a couple bucks more.

lol, I haven't even purchased the part, idiot. I also don't see why you would revive an old thread just to try and insult the other members who purchased the part already. lmao, you replied 3 times to yourself, which lets me know you indeed are a little dumb kid.
