Don't mean to bash you or anything, but the DIY Icebox with removing the stock intake resonator box would give you the same sound effect. Minus the annoying loud humming sound you get with the AEM V2 CAI at idle . tho.

I had it on my old car: 02 AV6 coupe & it made an annoying humming noise at idle. Remote starting the car, I could hear it from the window while I looked out into the driveway where the car was . I'm not saying that it's the same way with the 3G TL, but it was still the J-series motor J30A1.

I have no humming or whatever crap you said on mine. Put it on myself and i love it. Remove all the makeshift crap you want but you wont get the power gains you would with adding the aem cai

Agreed. this thread is about the sound differences not power gains. Let's try to keep it on that before it turns into something else and either it gets locked or someone gets the "ban" button.

Back on topic... I wonder if the P2R TB spacer is palying a part in that sound.

Basically yes. There really isn't much difference in sound between all of the cold air intakes. Go on youtube and that will give you an idea.

Filter may be better quality? Uses more metal as well.
