I've searched this topic but there's no definitive answer so maybe this thread can clear things up.

I've been wanting to do the air sensor swap with my AEM intake, but I'm not sure how badly it will affect the MPGs.

So does anyone know generally how much it will lower gas mileage?

Idk know about third gens, but in my second gen, when i put on my intake, my mpg dropped greatly causing me to come back to my stock one. I'm still testing out the two to see which gets better gas mileage, but on the intake i only got 20.....on another note, would i need a tune?

 

I've heard that the gains are so tiny (~1whp) that it isn't worth the MPG sacrifice.
