I would think the sensor would get a more accurate reading being that it's getting the air flow when the air is still cold, right off the tube..

Yes...I also did the extra mod. It is easy as hell to do (takes about 2 minutes) - and does increase HP a minor bit as the engine reads different air temp (more accurate actually) which I have heard makes the engine computer do something or set something differently that makes better HP. I would say it was definately worth it. And dont let the instructions scare you....I DID NO WIRE STRIPPING OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. Is was as if Honda knew you were gonna do that and just taped up a little slack in the harness - it only required me to cut a loop of tape, which let the slack loose enough to work perfectly. Didnt even have to retape anything at all....it was beautiful! You'd never know it was messed with at all....

my check engine light came on also, but my buddy has a obdII tool to reset codes and that did the trick. You may want to see if anyone close to you on the forum has one, it will save you the $$ of having a shop do it.

Check for vacuum lines being connected properly, I thought I would have had to reset the ECU but didn't have to....just the radio...

Thinking about swapping out my INJEN intake for the AEM. Is V2 available for the 04's yet?

I do not see a V2 available for the 04-05 years yet from AEM....I went with the regular version that everybody else is using. I also had an Injen.....the AEM is different...better power. I like it better personally. The swap will only take you about 20 minutes if you do it right. Just go in from the wheel well.
