I recently spoke with Josh from Excelerate Performance about getting Accessory Pulleys made for the Third Gen TL. He told me a 3pc kit would cost in the rage of $350-$400 (which would include the crank pulley); the accessory pulleys would be about $200 alone. We would need at least 25-35 people to participate to get these made. So if you are serious about wanting to buy these please put your name on the list.

UR will be the manufacturer. It is hard to say what the gain will be being that it hasn't been made or tested yet. It could be 2 or 3HP per pulley or more but dont quote me because every car is different. The pulley would dress up the engine a little better and me personally i want to get as much HP out of my car as i can N/A.

Yeah they are located in Copiague right on sunrise, i had stopped in there for some extra stickers and got to talking about accessory pulleys and he said to contact excelerate so i did...
msala524- that is true including the crank pully so i stand corrected. I already have the crank pully so what i was referring to was just the other 2 pulley's alone

^ That is true. Either way i hope this list gets more people because i would really like that extra hp even though it might not be much but every bit counts especially bc (and i hate the fact that) we cant tune.

This would be mostly a cosmetic add-on. The factory accessory pulleys are light and do not rob much of any additional power. The big loss is from the crank pulley. So for those interested in doing this, please understand that it is only for dress up of the engine bay.
I did some looking into of this to see if the CL parts would work. The weight difference between the stock and the UR were close to zero. The power steering one was just about the same weight, but the UR alternator pulley was heavier then the OEM one.
I have to believe that the alternator pulley is the same as the CL one. The power steering one I am not sure, I would need to take everything apart to compare the OEM one to the UR.
Most pulley sets will offer an underdrive for the crank and oversize the accessory pulleys just a bit to make up for the size difference.
I really don't see the accessory pulleys freeing up any HP. The crank pulley takes car of this and is one of the best mods for the money. But boy would it add some bling factor under the hood!

We should meet up sometime, you said you're in NHP? We have to be real close to be getting gas at the same station lol. Funny thing is I usually get gas @ Shell but I had already turned into the Gulf lol.

crank pulley is just about all you can expect from releasing some power. the rest is just a waste of money...and again i understand everyone's looking to mod their cars, and thats fine, but seriously $400 for this is a complete waste of money, i dont care how good quality they are....get a crank pulley if you can afford.....get rid of the AC compressor if you have the balls, and thats about as much as you can release from the accessory drive line.
to the OP, if you really really wanted to have a mod that would make a tremendous difference, you could've gotten UR through whoever you did, to make a clutch kit for the 3G TL, and for the Auto guys, they could make an aluminum flywheel and free up more power than the crank pulley does.

I really wish the guys posting about power to dollar spent just shut up...
You guys think UR will r&d a engine dressup... I had UR pulley sets in my last B18.... And it hauled ass... Current b18 has no accessories
lol
Point of my post: UR will squeeze the power out... Key design feature UR cuts weight by drilling holes on the pulleys... So they'd easily make something extremely light and create a balance as to what will work
Ps. Anybody compared 3g to 4g... Likelyhood of them being identical is high (I'm on my bb can't really cross refference)

UR wont R&D engine dress up...but they will R&D money making.....sure enough proof is all over the thread.
Can't compare different cars....especially a 4 banger vs. V6.
Dropping 8 lbs off the crank pulley on a 4 cyl, vs. V6 isn't the same
even dynoed....you can't speak of a difference either, when its by 2-3 hp..so yeah POWER/$$$ ratio sucks! and i wouldn't bother with anything more than a crank pulley.
