6MT Rotor Replacement...?
I have been looking all over the internet today to try and find some slotted or drilled rotors to replace my stock 6MT rotors with. They are larger than the automatic's rotors so I am having a lot of difficulty locating any on E-bay or using google to find some results. Can someone please help me out. I need to replace my rotors and pads and found the Hawk's to go with for pads, but still trying to find some rotors to fit the Brembo applications...
Please help guys...thanks

Until RacingBrake finally releases their new rotors for your application, I would say these are ok IF you only have them -slotted- ...NOT DRILLED
Our cars do not require that, and with the Hawk HPS pads, you are better off with just the outgassing side vents give you.

I dont know about ebay stuff. I have a line on a great set of rotors for my 6MT but I am waiting to order them and install them before I post a link. They are $300 for the front with HPS pads which is a screamin deal, and Slotted or Slotted/Dimpled. Not sure which I am going to do yet.....
Slotted- meaning side vents- only is the way to go.
Adding dimples or full drill thrus are not required for our cars, they reduce surface area for braking and can add a noise factor you dont want.
All we need is a way to allow outgasing of the pads when in rotor contact- hence the vents
AND Racing Brake uses special inner cooling vanes that seperate their technology from the rest. read their site www.racingbrake.com
They have 5AT rotors for the gen3 but the larger ones for MT are a developement process.
You also have to understand we are driving touring cars, and they are first focused on the big heavy cars like Vettes Vipers and Mustangs
Now they have those, so efforts can be direceted our way. Because of the special cooling vane design they have to make seperate left and right designs.
Love em on my Gen 2- worth the wait

If you have a hookup on good rotors - share it!

Yes, they are for the 6MT. I called to verify and spoke with the gentleman for about 20 minutes.
So racingbrake.com has the rotors in stock...at least they appear to be available. I didn't have an extra $600 lying around so I just had my originals turned for $25...it'll do for now. Put on the Hawk HPS pads instead of the stock Brembo's...we'll see how they stack up. I have heard a lot of good remarks about them though. For now, I guess I'm keeping the rotors stock but I would like to get a slotted in the future. You guys will have to keep us all posted on the quality of these rotors that you all decide to put on. There aren't a lot out there, but there are a few and some will be worth the $500-$600....those other cheapies for $300, who knows??? Thank you all for your help...the new brake change is working great thus far though.

Hey guys ROTORA just released their 6 spd discs. $230 for front slotted and $300 for front slotted and drilled. Plus shipping. I have 2 sets of slotted coming in and I will be ordering more byt he end of the month when ROTORA gets stock back in.
The RacingBrake rotors shown on their site for Gen3 are for the A/T only- they are the same as gen 2 brakes.
You guys with M/T have the bigger rotors and pads
So its not a shipping delay- its taking time to develope and make a brand new product
Hawk HPS pads will help any car, even with OE rotors - they have fantastic bite in all conditions.
The vented/slotted rotors are best for those who use their brakes hard- repeatedly.
Look at the size of the brake pads and understand why there needs to be vents to outgas during heavy useage

This post makes me seem like more of a smart ass than I am trying to be. Racingbrake's webpage lists rotors for the 3rd gen with brembos. There isn't any indication they are still developing them, other than the 6-8 week shipping time. Their webpage isn't the most informative and implies that the rotors for the manuals are ready and complete.
Yes, its too bad the people in charge of the webpage updates and info are not always on top of things, and are not the same people doing any work inside the company.
For all we know its like car dealer sites, weeks behind what is happening and prepared by someone outside of the company-who just does websites- not a car person or Acura specialist
MrHeelToe told me the Gen 3 AT cars have the same brake rotors as the Gen 2 cars
That may be why listed on RBs site
Its you 6 M/T owners who are still waiting.
Anyone who questions the differance between brands and price has not read the tech info on website.
These rotors are so far advanced ..... you have to drive to believe

Actually, it just says "04-07 TL" without indicating transmission or brembo compatibility.
It implies they have rotors for the car...not all the cars

looks like it says brembo to me
I mean, if we are gonna get technical here, then it actually lists like this:
Two-piece rotor (Slot) - TL (Brembo) FRONT 04-07
Slotted only
2108-311
...not that I am trying to be a smartass or prove any points here...just saying...
