I didnt see the vortech sc part until now. I just realized he edited his post. I am still doubtful about his 04 TL having obx headers...THe only ones I have seen are on second gens. Plus our manifolds are casted into the head.

Three Wheelin'
All we have are tubes that run out...The main header structure you normally see is casted in the head hence why the OBX will not work. Thats why I only have seen them on Second gens or for sale for them.
The CT SS is nice. I like it.

[quote=Opel;11284504]dude...3G TL 04-08...DOES NOT HAVE TRADITIONAL STYLE HEADERS.... exhaust runners are integrated in the head, merging into ONE outlet outta the head...CATS ARE BOLTED ON THE HEADS DIRECTLY.
ok u right it does not have TRADITIONAL STYLE HEADERS.....
just because the exhaust runners merge to one it does mean he cant have headers.
I have a 2005 TL so yes the cats are bolted to the head. I agree
BUT what you guys dont know is that OBX does make a header were you can delete all your cats(even the ones bolted to the head) hmmm... maybe there for 06 accord v6
hint* hint*
cb169 will have to talk about the header I dont know what he orderd but i know he got it to work

Here my best times to date...
DONE ON 7/3/09
WEATHER: ABOUT 85 DEGREES
STOCK TL-S WHEELS with 15 psi TIRE PRESSURE
**MY TIMES ARE IN THE LEFT LANE (Black Car) ON BOTH SLIPS**
I was running against my buddies MODDED MS3 (MazdaSpeed3) (Silver Car)
The LEFT time slip: (Best R/T & 60')
R/T = .565
60' = 2.174
1/4 = 14.18
Trap = 100.36
The RIGHT time slip: (Best 1/4 time)
R/T = .714
60' = 2.192
1/4 = 14.15
Trap = 100.29
P.S. I plan to take it down to "THE ROCK" (Rockingham Dragway, NC)....I should break 13's on this track...we'll see...

All motor
13.7 @103 sounds about right for those mods. CAI/OBX header (PC deletes and Jpipe in 1), and UDP. Trap sounds a smidge high without a catback, but the PCs do a lot.

the 03 accord has the same type of head as the tl's, I guess i should call them pre cat delete as you guys call them on here, I bought the OBX header $360) set up for the 03 V6 accord and fabricated the j pipe to work on my 04 tl, there was no way in hell I was going to pay $650+ for a j pipe and 2 pieces of pipe's that everyone refers to as pre cat delete pipe, I'm surprized no one makes the whole header setup for like $300 because they are alot easier to make than the tubular styled headers found on the 03 tl's

here's the bullshit, keep in mind the downpipe needs to be modified to work on the 04 tl's.

As for the 2sk that thing was dumb fast supercharged.
No bullshit phee. I was there when he ran it and all of his other cars. All of the times are legit.

OBX makes a precat delete/J Pipe combo for the 7th gen accord and we all know their stuff fits the 3rd gen TL. I was there when he put it on. The quality may be questionable but the performance isnt.

congrats on the times, but the verbiage was incorrect and i called them on it.
it has since been cleared up that it wasnt truly a header and all should be well now.
if it doesnt make sense, im gunna call BS

my friend ran 13.7 at 103 with no mufflers and a CAI... this was a Type S....didnt even have full bolt ons..
you guys have to understand, that results vary from track to track, and its not entirely the cars.

i tried bleeding it, warming it up, riding it, as i was staging...no fucking luck man.
i did 2 passes. same shit...couldnm't even pick up 90 mph...people thought i couldn't catch traction...lol i wish that were the case
now smth tells me, it didnt even put all the power down on the dyno lol at least on high end, because it was only a few months ago.
if ya wonder, i have a Spec stage III 6 puck ceramic disc wit stock flywheel...but it can't hold the power

Three Wheelin'
ive had it since about janurary, it worked fine...but as i went up in power it got worse of course...once that ceramic disc slipps through...PP and Flywheel are toast and cannot offer any grip anymore....thats just how it is.

At this point, I have to assume most 6MT guys have at least looked at and either done or contemplated doing the slave cylinder mod. What I want to know, has anyone done this and been able to make it to the track to see what their time is? Does anyone have a before and after of this?
I have to think that this would shave off .2-.3 secs off the overall time. The delay caused by the OEM slave cylinder was crazy! This mod would allow for better R/T, 60' (if you can get traction) and overall trap speed/time.
Opel, what about you, did you ever get to do a before/after? Did you notice in the difference? To me, it feels like a good drop in time (relative I know) when shifting from one gear to the next quickly. I know under normally driving it is not as apparent, but during the spirited shifts, you can really tell the difference in shift time (I really should say engagement time).

I have not noticed anything funny with my clutch engagement, when I come off the clutch it engages right away with no delay, when I snatch 2nd gear both front wheels spins and puts the power down right away, I know the all wheel drive guys uses like a little jet in the hydraulic line to help slip the clutch out preventing a harsh engagement that cause drive train damage, I see no reason on doing that slave cylinder modd, maybe some guys are taking to long to come of the clutch, as far as Spec clutch's I had one in my NSX and hated it, no matter how good u are driving stick I would always smell the clutch burning driving it in and out of my shop or in traffic, I have NEVER heard anything good about SPEC clutch's only negative things

Too bad no one makes a carbon kevlar disk for our cars...That would be something. Might have to look into that with a better PP for sure. I am due for a change soon and still doing research...sucks no one makes a good system for our cars. Last thing I need is something going wrong after taking apart the trans in my garage.
