4G TL mounts on 3G TL?

Do you think it would work? Has anyone considered this? I don't have a way to check and see but I'm sure some of you do. I'm just considering options bc I'm tired of the vibrations coming from aftermarket mounts. I've checked parts diagrams and the front and rear look very similar hence why I was asking. The side one wouldn't work it seems bc it's at an angle but who knows swap out the bracket and it may or it may not who knows.

if they did fit, the problem would be the same as the 3rd gen mounts.
soft factory mounts that break after so many miles.

Honda's design on motor mounts arent exactly stout.

there's always gotta be a compromise with aftermarket mounts.
if you dont care for the vibrations, dont get aftermarket mounts

I agree to an extent. But couldn't the FWD 3.7 mounts be slighter more robust/durable since it's mated to a higher displacement/HP engine.

no.

Honda needs to design beefier mounts.
its a design flaw.
or they are overlooking or under engineering the mounts.

I recently sold a 1999 chevy malibu with 150hp to the crank. probably like 110hp to the wheels.
the design of the mounts ARE WAAAAAAAAY more stout than my Acura with stock 230hp to the wheels.

if you did the research and you say "they kinda look like they have the same design"

they probably inherit the same design flaw as our mounts

dont bother...just use the tl-s one. all 2003-2007 accords, 2004-2008 tsx, and 2004-2008 TL mounts will all fit each other. that being said, they FIT, but doesnt mean it'll work well as the engine weights and power are all different between the 3 cars

3.7L parts that actually make sense. Not reusing other factory motor mounts that are almost exactly the same.

Get aftermarket mounts and call it a day. I just dont get why you would waste money or 4G TL mounts in the first place for your 3G TL...

If you need mounts and are okay with a bit of vibration I would recommend our XLR8 mounts:

I actually already have your mounts. Maybe I'm just getting old.
