400hp supercharger TL

It's a 2008 auto base, this is my daily so I'm not going to make a race car. I've put about 3.5k miles boosted as of this post and had no issues with the engine modifications itself. Installed gerzybear supercharger kit, had to cut notches in the subframe so one of the pipes had more clearance. I made 400whp but run detuned, I run redline ATF fluid mix recommended by Andy, initially the transmission seemed to disengage sooner when downshifting but it seems pretty normal now. The transmission does not like to shift automatically under partial load so I usually shift manually, I will say I've taken very good care of the transmission and engine so that's probably another reason I've had no issues so far. I do oil changes no more than 2k miles depending on driving conditions.
I have 775cc injectors, oversized on purpose, rest of the supercharger mods are straight forward.
I did try running NA setup by disconnecting the intercooling piping after the intercooler and running a different serpentine belt and a different tune, it works just fine.
Probably the least documented part is the electric AC I have. I run a compact battery, the compressor is from ebay, (only place you can find one really), the quality of it is obviously questionable. I burnt through one, I think it overheated so doing cooling mods to the next one. I made the AC lines myself but need to redo them because I leak freo. Spending over $1k on the conversion, the compressor alone is $500. Has yet tbd if it will work in the hot summer. The whole engine bay needs cooling mods if you plan to drive a boosted setup in the summer which I need to still do.
Other mods I have are temp gauges for transmission fluid, oil temp and pressure and Rotrex oil temp.
I have genesis brembo BBK, there's a thread on that already on acurazine.
I have two coolers in parallel for the ATF with a transmission cooler thermostat and allows fluid to move through the cooler once it reaches 160F. Before 160 it's only circulating a small amount through the cooler.
I have other mods coming this car and will update the post.
Feel free to ask any questions you guys have and I'll answer as best I can.

Very cool! Have you thought about cutting the cowling for the ultimate cooling mod to help with underhood temps?

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p...ng-mod-739098/

it's an old thread with lots of broken photos, but short story is to cut holes in the wiper cowling to help hot air exit.

What are you using for tuning?

I do plan on making hood vents that are adjustable.
Tuning wise I use Hondata, Tony Starks is my tuner. I've driven 2400 miles across the country and had no issues with the boosted part.

For those wondering how fast my boosted TL is, 3rd gear 60mph roll I can keep up through 3rd with a modified 2018 GT mustang with a 10 speed auto and factory they make 460bhp.

Tony is a good dude. I chat with him all the time and we help tinker on cars even though I'm in Canada and he's in US.

400whp on a 3.2 auto on 93 seems a bit optimistic, would be interested to see the dyno sheet.

Also, why run detuned? Isn't the point to have the power on tap at all times?

From 60-95ish (top of 3rd in auto) pulls hard, but you'll get gapped as soon as you hit 4th.

I have zero reason to make up whp numbers, made 404whp on 91 actually. I have 3.7 manifold, TB, P2R CNC ported runners, spacer, and fuel injector clinic injectors, I've kept the motor in good condition and I run less timing because I don't need to risk blowing up the motor. It's enough power for around town.

His tuner is using a dyno mustang and fudged the map to give a better result?

The reason it craps out in fourth is 1) Auto and 2) Rotrex superheating the entire car after the 3rd gear pull.

It's interesting how other people with boosted TL's question what I'm saying. I didn't like his tune, he did etune before and then went to the dyno and he changed it but it wasn't as smooth so I just had my etuner make changes.
Not it craps out in 4th because of the gearing, nothing to do with the temperatures. Even in cold weather it craps out in 4th gear

Reason they are hesitant on the 400whp numbers is cause we've seen auto 3.2L with Rotrex and none of them reach 400whp without serious help from more boost and ethanol. I made 346 on my auto on 93 back in the day and had to detune cause i was knocking on the street. On e85, i made 370whp. Auto j35s on 93 do 380whp and about 415 on e85. But that's just some examples.

And i got rid of my auto cause of the gearing. 4th gear sucks. You only have 3 gears to play with. Even boosted ,4th is slow. It's an overdrive so that's to be expected. I went and grabbed a manual but that has other issues in it of itself. I can't comment too much on the AC bits. I did. Daily drive my auto TL and my manual tl. I have a daily now so i don't worry about it. I have a giant 16 inch spal 12V fan wired to the battery with a relay. Seems to help my temps stay in check. Thing pulls so much air, you can feel the air rushing between your fingers if you place your hand in front of the intercooler. Fan stays on for a while and is loud but not obnoxious.

I mean my cylinders and valves look really good for 188k miles so I'm not surprised by the power. I listed all the mods, ported runners, 3.7 throttle body, intake manifold and I have a straight through exhaust. There's still mods I could do like light weight crank pulley for instance but I've driven 13k miles with no issues from the motor.
Gearing wise yes I agree 1st is decent on good surface and I run PS4 tires. 4th gear I can still get up to 160mph reasonably fast
