Sorry if this is a repeat from another thread but it all seems extremely confusing to me and I can't find a clear answer. I just need to know if I can put 3.5L heads on my 3.2L block. Do I need to modify it in any way? Is it only certain 3.5L heads that can be done this way? What cars did they come on? Thanks in advance.

have a spare 05 RL motor in pieces and 03cls with high miles

 

J35A6 heads are the exact same part number as the heads on the J32A3.

@My2006TLgetsAllMy$, your engine already has J35 heads on it.

 

The 05 RL heads will fit. you'll also benefit from the 05 rls ever so slightly better cams.
