2008 acura TL Exhaust/ tips
this is my first acura, so im kinda trying to put work into my car. currently, i know my car has stock exhaust, catalytic converter, and exhaust tips. im just looking to change the exhaust tips, but i have no clue what i should be looking for. but for sound, i definitely want something beefy.

Welcome to the forums OP!
Exhaust tips don't really provide a sound change. If you're looking to make the car louder without spending too much then you should do a resonator delete/replacement. There are a couple different popular options (Dynomax, Magnaflow, Vibrant) but they all provide a bit of a different sound. I'd do some poking around, see what sounds the best to you, and go for that!
If you're looking to pickup a bit of extra power our Jpipe isn't a bad way to go! It removes the third cat and replaces a kink in the OE piping with a nice even bend to help you get the most out of what you already have. They also provide a bit of a sound change (but not nearly as much as an exhaust).
Feel free to send me a PM if you need some help picking out parts. Good luck & happy modding!

I just did a resonator replacement today with a 22" magnaflow ( I probably should have gone with a 18" or 14" but I was scared it would make my tl a civic fart can) and a mid muffler delete. It doesn't sound too loud but it's really only noticeable around 2-3k rpm and nothing when coasting . I think i'm going to get magnaflow mufflers next so I get more of a deeper tone and a little more sound when I hit the gas which is the main reason I wanted to mod the exhaust. But I rather have my car be not loud enough and add to it than to spend all that money and replacing the new parts.

just do a stage 3 on your car, polish your stock mufflers and call it a day.
for what your looking for that will accomplish it.
also our stock tips are perfect IMO, only thing I would consider replacing them with are the quads off a type-s
