2007 TL Type S Head Swap Question!!!
First I'd like to apologize if I'm in the wrong section. But through much research, I haven't found an EXACT answer.
So I have a 2007 TL Type-S that I've owned for about 6 years. It's automatic (unfortunately) and I just got 120,000 miles. Bout a week ago the girlfriend was driving and the timing belt went out on her. I ftowed it back home. And pulled it apart. The front head cam gear was completely froze by the 2 feet of belt wedged between it and the head.
So I replaced the belt, and after starting it... it ran like pure garbage... so I triple checked the timing and made sure it was perfect and it was. So I began to fear the worst... BENT VALVES!
So I pulled out the compression tester and tested all cylinders.
Rear head is PERFECT
Front head is ZERO compression all the 3...
So I have either bent or broken valves in the whole front head...
SO, what I would like to do is just do a head swap and call it a day.
My question is:
BESIDES PERFORMANCE...
What differences are there in the J35 heads? (casting, intake & exhaust ports, oil and coolant passages, deck height or compression differences, etc etc etc)
Will any J35 head bolt up and work with the J35A8 engine?
Could I use an Odyssey J35A6 Head and it will run correctly?
Or could I use any J35 head and put my Type S cam into the Odyssey head to keep my performance? (etc etc etc)
Because it's obviously much harder to find a Type-S J35A8 head than it is to find J35A4 or J35A6 head so I'm just seeing what my options are (if any).
I'm a big K and B series guy not too much J's... so I need you big J series guys to share some expertise.
Thank You so much for any help!

Go over to the Honda Accord forums, there are plenty of Gen 6 Accords with the J30 where folks haven't heeded the 7-year or 105,000-mile TB replacement recommendation, whichever comes first, and have suffered bent valves in as little as sixty or seventy thousand miles.
