In regards to keeping the factory cooler, keep it. The aftermarket cooler is not as effective at low speeds. The aftermarket "cooler" will heat the fluid whenever it's below the engine's coolant temperature and cool it whenever the trans fluid is above the engine's coolant temperature. While it might not run quite as cool under ideal conditions, the stock cooler stabilizes the temperature.
