2004 TL general questions
Just purchased a 2004 TL (53k miles for $18K) and so far its the best car I have ever owned. Pure adrenaline rush every time I drive it. Can't wait to get my hands on the 2009 or 2010 model, especially because of the available SH-AWD and 300HP edition.

Until then I will continue to enjoy my 04. In order to do so.... I was wandering are there any headers available that are CARB approved? The power is good but I can tell the engine wants to breathe a little bit more. After my next tune up I will be installing a CAI, but I am not sure if I want to go with Injen or AEM. I want to install a catback exhaust but I like the appearance of the stock tips. Is there a setup available that will allow me to gain HP while keeping the stock tips? And what about an ECU flash?
Please help me out guys, and thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forums. Just as a tip, search the next time, it will aid you. But to answer your questions:
1. No headers are on the TL, they are cast onto the motor. There are cat's that you can replace/remove. This will let the car breathe much better, but to much flow can result in a power loss, but there also is the ATLP-J Pipe.
2. For your exhaust, you can have a custom one made for around 500 dollars.
