I'm guessing instead of A&E you mean AEM. I've searched alot and seen many go with the AEM V2 CAI.

Forget the short ram intakes, go for the cold air. AEM makes a good product.
Most people will tell you to stay stock, since the TL has a factory built CAI.

Thanks for the info.
What about injen for cold air? I just ordered one online haha
Should I return it and get AEM?

I'm going to do some research on the exhaust system. Think about getting one for my car here in about a month from now.

I wouldn't say stock, but id say modify your stock intake and delete the intake resonator I have pics in my progress thread if you like to take a gander!

You know there is a sticky on the performance and modifications section (top thread); you should check it out.

Only plus side to AEM really is in the case that you do an intake manifold swap, the AEM has a spot on it to put a certain sensor that you'll have to relocate. If you never plan on modding that far, though, then the Injen should be perfectly fine.

Good to know. I have full exhaust and was now contemplating on getting a CAI for mine...I'm just kinda hesitating on it cause I hydro-locked my last car.

I have an Injen laying around and it has a spot to add a MAF sensor to it.

Which could be easily capped off or used to add another sensor.

I haven't used it yet and don't plan on it really. I modified my stock air box. Hard to beat the stock setup nowadays. Especially since they went away with the 1 1/4" intake tubes.

For the exhaust there aren't many options on the market but I would recommend our XLR8 Quad Exhaust for the 3G TL-S. It's reasonably prices, has a deep, throaty and somewhat exotic exhaust note and it is T304 stainless steel.

I want to hear the sound before I buy it.
I have been looking online. Not much out there for TL-S.
I want to get the full system from the header to all the way to the exhaust.

My friend did his on his Z370 and it sounds super nice. Haha

I'm new to all this so my friend is kind of helping me out.

Haha I'm a geek all I do is trade commodities and party. Haha

My advise to you is to research the forums and gather as much information as possible. This topic has been cover numerous of times.

However, to answer one misconception, there are no headers that our car carries. Our cats our basically our "headers" per say; so you would actually be looking for High flow pre cats or pre cat deletes.

Like I stated earlier, check out the sticky in the performance section (1st thread) and goolge 3G TL for noobies. Also, check out our vendors link too.
