07 Type S custom exhaust

Hey guys,

I just got a type S exhaust for my 05 6mt. I am toying with the idea of putting 2.5inch piping from the cat to the y-pipe with a resonator in the middle and removing the mid muffler with the stock type S mufflers. Do you think I will get gains from this or to just stick with the stage 3 mod for the exhaust? I think the flow would be bottlenecked, but at the y-pipe it splits so would it? Has anyone else done this or anything like this?? Need some help and or suggestions. thxs

Altp costs too much...I got the stock type S for $300 so I bought it. I could just get 2.5 custom all the way back, buy magnalfow mufflers and have the tips welded to those mufflers, but thats gonna cost some coin. I am trying to see what people have done to their stock exhausts to get some ideas besides the stage 3 while trying to still get some gains in HP. Any other ideas?

You could get 2.5 mandrel bent piping all the way back to the mufflers. Then weld your stock mufflers back on.
